The Nearest Alcoholic Drinks to Every Ride at Disney World
No matter how meticulously you plan your day of rides and rollercoasters, using FastPass+ reservations and taking advantage of early park openings and late closings, there will come a moment at Walt Disney World when you step off a thrilling ride, stagger into the sunlight, and think, 'I could really use a drink right now.'
Fortunately, you won’t have to travel far: in three of the four parks, you can easily grab a beer or a spiked slush from nearly any cart or restaurant. But why walk more than necessary? Here’s our guide to the nearest alcoholic beverages to every major Disney World attraction.
EPCOT
RIDE: Slinky Dog Dash, the lively Toy Story-themed coaster. DRINK: A perfectly named Grown-Up’s Lemonade with a splash of black cherry vodka from Woody’s Lunch Box.
RIDE: Spaceship Earth, Epcot's iconic attraction housed inside the giant geodesic sphere, offering a slow-paced tour through the evolution of technology. DRINK: The Electric Umbrella, a rather ordinary Mytoury just two minutes from Spaceship Earth, serves a refreshing strawberry margarita.
RIDE: Soarin', the exhilarating flight simulator that makes you feel like you’re soaring over the world's landmarks. DRINK: Enjoy a wide range of wines and beers at Garden Grill, conveniently located in the same pavilion as Soarin' — no need to step outside into the heat.
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
RIDE: The Tower of Terror, a thrilling Twilight Zone-themed drop that ranks as one of Disney World’s most exciting rides. DRINK: Just outside the ride’s exit is the Tower of Terror Coffee Cart, where you can enjoy an iced cappuccino with a Kahlua boost.
RIDE: Rock 'n Roller Coaster, the high-energy Aerosmith-themed ride. DRINK: After your wild ride in Steven Tyler's loop-de-loop limo, head straight to Fairfax Fare for a refreshing Bud Light.
RIDE: The Great Movie Ride, a nearly 20-minute cinematic adventure. DRINK: For a drink close by, visit the ABC Commissary, where a fruity Chardonnay is your best option.
RIDE: Muppet Vision 3D, an exhilarating Muppet experience full of fun. DRINK: Take a sharp right to Mama Melrose Ristorante Italiano. There’s often a cocktail stand outside, but if not, you can enjoy a 2-ounce pour of Sambuca inside.
ANIMAL KINGDOM
RIDE: Expedition Everest, Disney World's premier thrill ride, surpasses even the Tower of Terror with its Himalayan adventure theme. DRINK: Look for the Everest Cart near the coaster’s exit, where you can grab a Kingfisher Lager to unwind. If the cart isn’t available, Yak & Yeti stands offer a refreshing Safari Amber.
RIDE: Kali River Rapids, a thrilling water ride that will leave you soaked. DRINK: Dry off with a Kirin beer from Yak & Yeti Quality Beverages.
RIDE: Kilimanjaro Safaris, an immersive wildlife journey that might leave you reflecting on human impact on the planet. DRINK: While Kamu Kamu Coffee Shop is the closest option, treat yourself to a more elaborate drink at Dawa Bar, such as a Berbere-spiced ‘African Bloody Mary.’
RIDE: Avatar Flight of Passage, a breathtaking 3D experience that immerses you in the world of Na’vi from the iconic film. DRINK: Enjoy a 22-ounce green Ale at Pongu Pongu, conveniently located just outside the gift shop exit.
MAGIC KINGDOM
RIDE: Pirates of the Caribbean, the attraction that inspired a blockbuster franchise. RIDE: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the thrilling mining-car coaster. RIDE: Splash Mountain, the source of some of the internet's quirkiest coaster photos. RIDE: Haunted Mansion, a classic that stands apart from Tower of Terror. RIDE: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, another exhilarating mining-themed ride. RIDE: Space Mountain, the iconic space adventure. DRINK: All sit-down restaurants at Magic Kingdom now offer alcoholic beverages. Secure a table, and if you find yourself at Cinderella’s Royal Table, indulge in a full bottle of Cuvée Dom Pérignon Brut—you’ve earned it.
