This 19-Day Train Adventure Showcases Some of Canada’s Most Breathtaking Autumn Scenery
The cool air is beginning to settle in, prompting us all to dig out our cozy mittens, warm hats, and oversized sweaters to savor the seasonal transformation. This year, instead of visiting the usual spots, Canada Train Vacations invites travelers to explore the finest foliage across the country with its Coast to Coast by Train tour.
Starting from Vancouver, this journey is among the longest train rides in Canada, spanning 19 days and 18 nights, and promises stunning autumn views throughout the trip.
During the journey, guests will board the Rocky Mountaineer Train, traveling from Vancouver to Kamloops, British Columbia, while savoring delicious meals and scenic views. The train then embarks on an overnight trip to the charming mountain town of Banff, where they can enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour via gondola or take a relaxing lake cruise.
Next, travelers will visit Lake Louise to admire the fall colors against the backdrop of glacier-covered peaks, and then proceed to Jasper National Park, where they can board a helicopter for a thrilling icefields tour.
The adventure continues through the stunning Canadian Prairies, passing through Ontario, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Montreal, and Quebec City, ultimately concluding the journey in Halifax. Travelers have the opportunity to step off the train and capture as many photos of the autumn foliage as they desire.

Travelers can select from Comfort, Superior, or Deluxe Levels, which offer overnight stays in -star, four-star, and five-star accommodations, respectively. Prices start at $10,080 per person. For those seeking an extended adventure, optional tours are available, including a trip to Prince Edward Island or a complete Alaskan cruise before or after the main journey.
