This Tiny European Nation Measures Less Than 16 Miles Long — Yet It Boasts Medieval Castles, Alpine Villages, and More
Situated between Switzerland and Austria, Liechtenstein is a minuscule country spanning just 62 square miles, home to fewer than 40,000 people. Yet it brims with as much culture and natural beauty as a destination ten times its size — my husband and I ticked it off our travel bucket list during a recent European road trip.
'Liechtenstein is one of those petite nations you can traverse in just a couple of hours. However, despite its small size, it offers a diverse array of attractions and experiences that make it an exceptional travel spot,' said Olena Grabova, a world culture specialist at Promova, to Dinogo. 'Nestled in the stunning Alps, it presents breathtaking mountain vistas that are ideal for outdoor lovers.'
