Important Information to Consider
Familiarize yourself with various pricing models.
“While some all-inclusive resorts can be a fantastic bargain, they don't always lead to a cheaper vacation,” says Vazquez. “For example, when booking online, all-inclusive rates are determined by occupancy, so if you reserve a room for two but have a family of four, the price will change.”
Moreover, it’s important to recognize that some properties permit children below a certain age to stay free of charge, while others impose fees. Setting a budget in advance is essential to ensure you choose a property that aligns with your financial expectations.
Scrutinize the details.
In simple terms: ‘All-inclusive’ doesn’t have a universal meaning,” explains Vazquez. “For instance, some properties may not include water sports or specific beverage selections, so it’s crucial to review the details closely!”
Whether you're searching for an all-inclusive family resort in Mexico, the Caribbean, or another destination, it's essential to clarify your preferences before making a reservation. Do you desire complimentary motorized water sports? Gratuities included? Premium alcoholic beverages? Ensure the property aligns with your specific desires and expectations.
Look for seasonal offerings.
Certain activities, amenities, and facilities may only be accessible during specific times of the year. For instance, the Surf Shack at St. Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort, which features kitesurfing, wing foiling, and gear rentals, operates from November to June. Meanwhile, at Curtain Bluff, the Cee Bee Kids Camp is available six days a week during peak holiday periods, but only five days a week at most other times of the year.
