Two exciting hotels in New Orleans have joined the World of Hyatt family.
Now officially part of World of Hyatt, these two trendy hotels in New Orleans are ready to welcome guests.
Maison Metier (formerly Maison de la Luz) and The Barnett (formerly Ace Hotel New Orleans) became Hyatt-affiliated earlier this year, but this week marked the beginning of perks and loyalty credits for World of Hyatt members. Maison Metier is now part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, while The Barnett belongs to JdV by Hyatt.
Maison Metier is classified as a Category 6 hotel on the World of Hyatt award chart, with award nights starting at 21,000 points and peaking at 29,000 points during busy seasons. The Barnett falls under Category 5, with nights redeemable for as low as 17,000 points and reaching 23,000 points. TPG reports that cash rates begin at $360 per night for Maison Metier this fall, while The Barnett starts at $160 per night.
This is a significant boost for Hyatt, as these two downtown hotels are sought-after lifestyle destinations with easy access to both the French Quarter and the Caesars Superdome.

"Hyatt's expansion is driven by the leisure and lifestyle sectors, and our growth in New Orleans highlights our commitment to strategically enhancing our presence in key destinations for Hyatt guests and World of Hyatt members," said Mike Waddell, senior vice president of global franchise operations at Hyatt, in a statement from June. "Maison Metier and The Barnett embody the vibrant culture of New Orleans, and we're thrilled to enhance our brand's footprint in this iconic city with these two exceptional hotels designed for discovery and enjoyment through food, art, music, and more."
Maison Metier debuted under its previous name in 2019 and quickly gained praise for its luxurious Parisian design featuring 67 guest rooms and suites. It became part of the Hyatt family in June 2024. The hotel's salon bar is a beloved spot for both visitors and locals, and it will continue its collaboration with Paris-based Quixotic Projects, now rebranded as Bar Metier (formerly known as Bar Marilou).
The Barnett retains the former Ace Hotel's blend of art deco and French modernism influences, originally established in a former Barnett's Furniture Store. Live music will be a key feature of the hotel, alongside renovations to the Italian restaurant, rooftop pool bar, and music venue. The hotel's Seaworthy restaurant will remain unchanged during the Hyatt integration process.
Once fully integrated into World of Hyatt later this year, guests will be able to earn and redeem points at both properties. In the meantime, reservations can still be made directly through the Hyatt website while the hotels transition into Hyatt's Independent Collection brands.
