Unforgettable fun! The new MSC Cruises ship will cater to families with an enormous top-deck play area.

You could call it the most family-oriented MSC Cruises vessel yet.
On Wednesday, the world’s third-largest cruise line revealed that its next ship, MSC World America, will feature a huge family entertainment zone on its top deck, complete with a giant water park, ropes course, and rock climbing wall.
Named The Harbour, this expansive venue will focus on family experiences like never before, blending water attractions with land activities, quick dining options, and a relaxation zone.
Additionally, there will be live music performances to entertain parents while their children enjoy the various attractions nearby.
The new area will launch in April 2025 as MSC World America sets sail from Miami.
Currently being built at a shipyard in France, MSC World America will become the largest MSC Cruises ship to operate in North America and one of the largest from any cruise line in the region.
At 216,000 gross tons, it will rank as the seventh-largest cruise ship in the world upon its launch. Only Royal Caribbean's recently introduced Icon of the Seas — the largest cruise ship globally — and Royal Caribbean's six enormous Oasis Class vessels are larger.

MSC Cruises has crafted MSC World America to attract North Americans seeking a megaship experience. Sailing from Miami, it will go head-to-head with Icon of the Seas and one of Carnival Cruise Line's largest vessels, Carnival Celebration, in a fierce competition for family cruisers who love megaships.
Similar to those two ships, it will feature a variety of onboard dining options, bars, lounges, and exciting attractions on the top deck, many designed specifically for families.
During the announcement on Wednesday, MSC Cruises revealed that the new Harbour family zone on MSC World America will include:
- The Harbour Aquapark, a fun-filled water area featuring four thrilling waterslides, including one with a 90-degree drop that starts with a freefall through a trap door
- Jaw Drop @ The Spiral, an exhilarating dry slide that winds down from the area across 11 decks to another passenger zone
- A rock-climbing wall
- The High Trail Ropes Course, a two-level challenge covering 6,210 square feet with two "sky rails" similar to a zip line
- The Harbour Light House, a kid-friendly playground inspired by the lighthouse at MSC Cruises' private island in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve
- The Harbour Bar & Bites, a casual eatery perfect for families on the go
- The Family Dwelling Area, featuring comfortable seating for families
- Cliffhanger, an overwater swing ride that was announced earlier this year for the ship
The Harbour will be one of three family-oriented zones located nearby on the ship, collectively known as the Family Aventura district. The other two zones will include the Doremiland kids program area, which will offer seven distinct children's rooms, and the Sportsplex, a versatile space for activities like bumper cars and rollerblading.
MSC World America will boast six pools and 14 hot tubs, making it one of the most pool-rich ships sailing the seas.
In the summer of 2025, MSC World America will depart from Miami every Saturday for week-long journeys to the Caribbean.
