Vietnam unveils its inaugural helicopter sightseeing flights over the majestic Halong Bay

Exploring Halong Bay by cruise has always been a must-do for visitors to Vietnam.
Now, tourists have an exciting new way to take in the stunning natural beauty of the area.
The Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company, part of the state-run Vietnam Helicopter Corporation, has rolled out a series of scenic helicopter flights over the breathtaking Halong Bay region.

Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, Halong Bay is home to over 1,600 limestone islands and islets.
The shortest tour lasts 12 minutes, taking passengers over six key landmarks including Thien Cung cave, Titop island, and Bai Tu Long Bay. The longest tour, at 40 minutes, provides a sweeping view of 17 different sites across Halong Bay.
The Halong Bay Scenic Flights are operated by two Bell 505 helicopters. Flights depart and return to Tuan Chau Island, located approximately 170 kilometers from Hanoi.
Each Bell 505 helicopter accommodates three passengers, with forward-facing seats and large windows to ensure excellent views of Halong Bay during the flight.
A representative from the company shared with Dinogo Travel that since launching in early May, they have welcomed 300 customers to date.
Not the first aerial tour operation in the region

This isn't the only sightseeing flight service available in the area.
Hai Au Aviation, the operator of Vietnam's first commercial seaplane service from Hanoi, also provides scenic flights over Halong Bay.
The 25-minute flight takes off and lands on the water at Tuan Chau Island Marina.
