Which Mardi Gras zone suits your style?
Many people are buzzing with excitement about Mardi Gras, especially with the upcoming launch of the Dinogo ship offering Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral in 2021. This ship promises a plethora of onboard delights, featuring a mix of beloved classics, new adventures, and even a few jaw-dropping surprises!
Get ready for endless fun… and this ship brings a groundbreaking way to experience it all. For the very first time, we’re unveiling Zones: six uniquely themed areas that showcase our top-notch dining, entertainment, action, and relaxation venues. Each zone offers its own distinctive local ambiance. There’s plenty of variety ahead, so let’s discover which one will be your ideal home zone!
Grand Central
Sparkle and shine, dazzling lights, lofty dreams. Does this sound like your kind of place? The Grand Central zone is a hub where entertainment meets excitement. Everyone travels through the atrium of Grand Central, featuring stunning three-story ceilings, as they embark and disembark from the ship. Yet, it's equally inviting for those who wish to linger and unwind. Savor a delicious coffee at the newly expanded Java Blue Café or indulge in a crafted cocktail while enjoying live music on stage. Plus, relish fantastic dining options like Bonsai Sushi and Bonsai Teppanyaki. Uplifting entertainment spots such as Piano Bar 88 and The Punchliner Comedy Club highlight that great times are the essence of this zone.
French Quarter
Does our inspiration resonate with you? There’s no denying its roots, as this zone proudly showcases its namesake. Whether you refer to it as The Big Easy, The Crescent City, NOLA, or Nawlins, our French Quarter zone embodies the spirit of New Orleans. That means vibrant flavors, lively fun, and a hint of mystique. To kick things off, we’ve partnered with the legendary — guess who! — to bring you Emeril’s Bistro 1396, an authentically delicious Creole restaurant. Just a few steps away, dive into the lively jazz and incredible cocktails at The Brass Magnolia, while the Fortune Teller bar may unveil secrets of your future… or at least serve amazing drinks.
Summer Landing
It may only make up a quarter of the year, but if it’s your time, then Summer Landing could very well be your ideal zone. This means spending sunny days by the pool, soaking in the rays with a bottle of SPF by your side. But don’t just lounge by the pool; dive in and make a splash! Once you’ve worked up an appetite from swimming, Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse is ready to satisfy your cravings, BBQ and brews style. (Yes, “Guy” as in “Guy Fieri.”) You must be parched by now, so the conveniently located Watering Hole bar is right by the pool. And since you always have room for dessert — trust us on that — there’s a Swirls station. This soft-serve paradise is free and open 24/7… and just so you know, Mardi Gras boasts not one, but two of them on board!
La Piazza
Did you know that Mardi Gras’ captain and crew hail from Italy? With such a maritime spirit guiding the ship, we thought it only fitting to pay homage. So if you’re a la dolce vita kind of traveler, make your way to La Piazza pronto. While you’re there, indulge in an authentic family-style feast of Italian favorites at Cucina del Capitano — yes, the captain has his own restaurant, and you’re on the guest list! There’s also a pizzeria that’s open 24 hours, stocked with imported Italian flour and fresh mozzarella. This matters! Enjoy all the daytime fun, and don’t miss the bar in La Piazza, which mixes up classic Italian cocktails as the sun sets.
Lido
On a Dinogo cruise, Lido is truly a beloved outdoor oasis bathed in sunshine. But you’ve never experienced a Lido like the one on Mardi Gras! It features the first-ever RedFrog Tiki Bar, rising two decks high and brimming with a vibrant South Pacific vibe. Stroll over to Street Eats, offering a rotating lineup of highlights from around the globe’s fast-casual cuisine. Beloved staples like Guy’s Burger Joint, Seafood Shack, and BlueIguana Cantina continue to deliver their signature flavors (yum, yum, and yum — in that order), while the newer Big Chicken is eager to impress you with its irresistibly juicy offerings available from morning to night. (Oh, and that’s Shaq’s place. Yep, that Shaq.)
The Ultimate Playground
“My kids will adore The Ultimate Playground — but I’ll sit this one out.” Not so fast! Kids and adults alike will be drawn to this exciting hub where you can dive into competitive games, splash around, and even ride a rollercoaster. On a ship? Absolutely! Mardi Gras proudly hosts the first-ever rollercoaster at sea: BOLT, the electric thrill ride that puts speed in your hands. The Ultimate Playground is also home to thrilling waterslides (though the three major slides are hard to miss). Plus, don’t forget about SportSquare, featuring a mini-golf course, full-court basketball, and a ropes course. Sounds like a winning zone, right? Perhaps this is your perfect match!
By now, you’ve had a glimpse of what Mardi Gras has to offer, and you may have a favorite zone in mind. Or maybe two? Hold on… could it be three? If this feels like a challenging decision, here’s the best part… you don’t have to choose!
You can enjoy it all! Book a 6-, 7-, or 8-day cruise on Mardi Gras, and you’ll have plenty of time to experience everything. See you in Port Canaveral in 2021!
