Hearty Country Green Beans with Red Potatoes

½ pound smoked turkey tails

2 (14.5 ounce) cans green beans, drained and rinsed

1 large onion, chopped

10 small red potatoes, peeled and cubed

1 tablespoon seasoned salt

2 teaspoons ground black pepper

1 tablespoon garlic powder
Instructions

Place turkey tails and onions into a 4-quart Dutch oven, adding water to cover halfway. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low, simmering for about 2 hours until the meat easily falls off the bones. Discard the bones and skin, then return the meat to the pot.

Add the green beans to the pot and simmer for 20 minutes. Then, add the potatoes and continue simmering for another 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
