I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, located at the tip of Yamu Point with breathtaking sea views. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the Thai food at Nahmyaa restaurant was exceptional, showcasing authentic southern Thai flavors. Overall, my experience was unforgettable, and I highly recommend.

Stayed in room 410 .23 to 26 sep 24. As I reached the porch , the bellboy arrived to carry my luggage, which was a relief as there was a flight of stairs ahead.. As I climbed the 'stairway to heaven' I was flummoxed ,as there were no huge doors to push or turnstile door to spin, to gain entry into it's sanctuary . Instead It felt that mother nature was welcoming me with her open eyes into her heart ,a feeling that evoked my first, love at first sight .Hoteliers build mammoth lobby's filled with huge murals , triptych paintings , tall statues ,wall filling tapestry ,artificial trees , marble obelisk pillars ,crystal chandeliers , designer mood lighting, glass and chrome , man made waterfall and fountains , intricately designed carpets , leather couches, aroma therapy filled air-conditioned air, iconic branded showrooms filled with luxury goods and a guy playing a piano to entice you into their homage to hedonism. At #Como yamu Phuket lobby , theirs no restraining entry or even a back wall , instead you are greeted by a panoramic vista of lush green hills and swaying trees and plants and a wraparound blue sea as far as the eyes can see .So basically theirs no need for air-conditioning or synthetic aroma filled air as the lobby's ventilation has been designed to allow the free flow of fresh oxygen rich air from the hills , with no human habitation , cooled by the sea water to fill your lungs and cleanse them . the pitter-patter of rain drops and the chirping of birds was music to the ear.The only artifact's are local hand made , mainly woven , art pieces that are an eclectic showcase of the local craftsmanship. A temple bell creates a calm serene meditative experience. The pathway to the rooms is through a corridor that has a sunlit sky roof that doesn't allow heat but some diffused light only which like kaleidoscope reflections, from the woven rattan design of the walls creates changing patterns from the sun's movement during the day .the chandeliers are metal strip copy of lobster traps and in the evening they all blink like stars through a nebula .Their is no line at the front desk . instead you are greeted by a staff in the local language , escorted to a comfortable couch where you sit back and refresh your self with a cool towel and a local invigorating drink as they take your passport and complete the check in formalities.I was upgraded to a bay suite and as both the bedroom and living room are adjacent and face the sea , the balcony size doubles enough for two daybeds and a coffee table with two chairs. The sunset views were so heavenly that the ritual inculcated over lock down during corona, whatsApp video group calls to my school gang over drinks in the evening, which now became a real sundowner, left them intoxicated from the view.Meals at 5 star hotels usually are so heavy and rich with butter and cream that after one meal , you tend to go out for the remaining ones .First time in my life at a breakfast buffet restaurant, instead of putting my bread slice in a toaster and then coming back after picking up some eggs , to find somebody else had filched it , there was a staff member who toasted it over coals to get the correct crunch , colour as well as aroma and delivered it at my table along with the a la carte eggs to order. The dishes were local Thai or Italian and so healthy and fresh that I enjoyed all three meals during my four days at the hotel, without an urge to go out for a change. The spa room with the massage table faced the sea and a a similar suspended "staiway to heaven" entry .This is not a 5 star retreat that entices you to splurge on things for consumption-possession sake and to get a high when you tell your friends about it .It's an abode in mother nature's womb , where you disconnect from the chaotic life ,unwind, build umbilical memories with this sanctuary, in seclusion with your cherished one's for a lifelong bond.

This is a tricky one...I would title this review "Am I in Switzerland or Thailand? All Style, No Substance - Negative Energy!"Ok...here goes.Do NOT stay here alone (or I guess, in general) unless you don't want to talk to anyone, you do want to be left completely alone, you don't want a warm "Thailand, the land of smiles" experience, you don't want a beach vacation, you are rarely hungry for a breakfast buffet that every other hotel has, you do want nothing at all to do, and you want be far from EVERYTHING (restaurants, bars, gyms, the beach etc etc). This hotel is gorgeous without a doubt. It's chic, it's located in a gated community, the Beverly Hills of Phuket, let's call it...At the same time, the resort is devoid of soul but is super high style (I am a New Yorker, I get it). From the staff to the rooms, this is as COLD and frigid as it gets in the tropics. The staff are robots at best, the empty, epic structures are also lacking any connection whatsoever to Thailand. I think they were going for AMAN - Yamu Point Thailand but ended up AMAN - Iceland (which would be fab if you're gunning for that and I have been to Iceland...it is not in Thailand). Also, the beach is a bus away and not great...It's an island and all if you want is a pool and no beach, here you go.I prepaid for a week and it took a herculean effort, and I'm NOT kidding, to buy my way out and escape back to Thailand (luckily not far away through some gates and across a little bridge..tah dah). The Thai's do not like to refund you for anything, for any reason, at any time. I had to throw a private, controlled yet powerful fit to get them to release me, unscathed and no longer penniless, from prison. So there you go. There's a reason the rates are great and if you're looking for what is presented in the pics below and what I said above, go for it - you won't be disappointed.
