Even if you're not lodging here (like myself), the stunning view and beautiful sunsets are worth the visit. Nestled harmoniously in nature, the place exudes tasteful simplicity, with every detail thoughtfully curated. The staff and owner are exceptionally warm and accommodating—I'm already planning my return stay. Please note: the establishment closes during the rainy season from late April to late July, reopening in August.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a bit painful (because the weather was hot and there was no wind during the summer). It was considered a practice of practicing the Dhamma. There is only one fan in the room. There is no refrigerator, kettle, hair dryer, towels always smell musty and damp. It's not very dry, probably because there are a lot of trees and no sunlight, the bath water is very soft, like taking a shower and not being clean every day of your stay. If you are a hot person, life may be difficult. On the second night, there was a smell coming from the bathroom that made me dizzy. The cleaning staff is not very professional. The sheets haven't been changed. We can understand that. But I threw off the cloth on one side and sand piled up on the other side. People sleeping on this side will be completely covered in sand dust. The edge of the bed was dusty and didn't wipe.I don't understand his cleaning cycle. We stayed for one night and in the morning someone came to make a room and came very early in the morning. The next day, no one came to make up the room. But put water and tissues on the balcony. When the check-in day came at 8:00 a.m., they said they would like to make a room. We said we hadn't gone anywhere yet and were going to take a shower. The staff said it was fine, so we asked, on the day we stayed, you didn't come to do it. Today we checked and you came to ask to do it. The employee looked confused. Did you check today? Then walked away (I understand this because there were only Burmese students). The food here, if compared to other places, is considered very expensive. Squid with basil over rice and fried egg is 280 baht. The amount is very small if compared to other places. The shop next to it is 170 baht so you can't eat it all, or a normal roadside shop is 70 baht. What you get from a room with nothing is almost 3 thousand. I think it's expensive. We are sorry to tell the truth. In order for the accommodation to improve the defective parts. for better developmentWe didn't plan to attack. You can think badly of the accommodation. Because the owner is very cute.(If you have any disputes about the service, please ask the staff for the truth first. get matching information)

We had a mixed experience staying at Barefoot. On the one hand, the people are wonderful (especially Liam and Toy) and made us feel very welcome. On the other hand, the rooms had several issues that surprised us, considering this place is one of the more expensive stays on the island. We stayed in a room (not a private bungalow) which was part of a building with 4 units. The bathroom had a shared wall that was open at the top to our neighbor's bathroom, which meant there were plenty of noises shared. The same thing could be said about the neighbors in the room below us. Since the floorboards were pretty open in places, we could hear every breath and every move they made. I'm sure it was even worse for them with us walking above them (we tried to tip toe). If you want privacy, make sure to pay more for a bungalow! The Internet situation also might bother some people, since the reception in the rooms was weak and the WiFi at the restaurant goes off and on. I was hoping to do some work while staying there but ended up giving up, which might have been for the best. The beach itself is wonderful, the people are super nice (especially Liam who made sure everyone are always happy) and the location is also great. If you can afford a private bungalow and don't mind paying a bit more than other places down the road, I would highly recommend it!

Very nicely equipped rooms and bungalows. The owner puts a lot of effort into it. Very well maintained complex on the best beach on the island.Only a few tourists in the book. A canoe and stand-up paddling are available free of charge. Parasols and sun loungers available.Very friendly service.

Attention: This place has a new name. As of this season it is called Barefoot Project and no longer Baan Klong Kleng. …

We've come to Koh Phayam several times, we've stayed in beautiful places and had nice hosts, but Barefoot Project is simply the best - we'll be back! The staff is amazing. Toi and Sam are wonderful hosts and very special and sweet people. Liam, their employee, is incredible and made of sunshine. The bungalows are so beautiful and the beach is idyllic. The only thing that would keep me from highly recommending this place to everyone: I don't want them to get completely overrun because we want them to still have a place for us when we come back :D But that would be selfish, so: Just go there, it's amazing.

We only went for lunch there. We heard it was expensive but really special...We found it way more expensive X2, than other places, same taste, same quantity, (not bigger portions). Tuna salad was half a tuna tin, some small pieces of tomatoes and other vegetables in mayo, for 250 thb ( 6,5 euros!!!).Friendly service, nice location, ideal for families.
