stayed at caspar for one night to catch a ferry to koh phayam. it's alright for a quick rest, but wouldn't recommend a longer stay. the rooms are tiny - we got lucky with the only double with a window, but otherwise they seem cramped. it's also pretty noisy - lots of birds outside the rooms. the beds weren't great either, not very comfortable. the area itself isn't that interesting, not much to see or do around the hostel. overall, caspar is good for a quick pitstop, but not much else.

Our stay was brief, but nonetheless enjoyable. The owner was friendly and accommodating. The room was impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning. The balcony at the back of the building provided a picturesque view of the backyard and beyond, particularly stunning during sunrise and sunset.Although our stay was short, the owner kindly assisted us with bus schedules, demonstrating helpfulness and attentiveness. Overall, we were thoroughly pleased with our experience and would gladly stay again. No issues arose, and we felt well-treated throughout our stay.

Only for one night here at the hotel! The room small, with fridge and TV, absolutely clean. Okay, the windows should be cleaned 😉 only the volume of the main street right in front of the door and the many cooing pigeons in the empty house next door 🙉

Nice, clean and very comfortable hostel. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The common spaces and bathrooms are very well taken care of and functional.There is coffee, tea and water always availableRooms are specious and the bed really comfortable. Plus great looker and air conditioning in every room.Also great location since is in the very city center

Stayed one night in a double room after my visa border run to Myanmar. The room was clean and comfy and the price was great. The location is nice, as it is on probably the busiest road in the very quiet Ranong. Small bars, restaurants and shops nearby. The owner and the staff were lovely.

Amazing everything!I loved my stay here.Sorry it was just one night 😂Great bed, great shower, super clean, incredible care for detail, especially for the price range it's in.We arrived from the far south after a long bus ride and were still welcomed kindly despite the late hour.The owner (I think it's the owner) also helped us book the speedboat tickets for the next day despite the late hour as he could call for us.If you're staying in a double room, ask for the room at the back for complete silence and peace overlooking the greenery behind the building.If you're in dorms there is a cute lobby.There's coffee, fruit & small sweets in the morning.Staff is kind and very helpful – and the bathroom was shiny because it was so clean, so kudos to them for their work!One of the best stays in a month (and two decades) of travel.Convenient, well located and pretty.

The hostel is clean and comfy. The owner is gentle and knowledgeable about the area. I was there on the 21st of October and I was the only person in a 4 bed dorm. Good location with lots of restaurants and bars with music. The hostel provided a towel, bottle of water, free tea and coffee. They have a lovely little balcony overlooking a green space. There is also a cafe downstairs, you can sit outside or inside lots of space

Established is 2021, The Caspar Hostel in downtown Ranong is a wonderful lodging choice with a modern, elegant design. The spaces were well thought out and easily navigable and usable. Mr. Chang was a very welcoming, gracious, and helpful host during my week staying here. I especially enjoyed the nearby hot springs while staying here.

Friendly staff and owner. Cute hostel in good location. Beds comfy. Curtain for privacy. Female dorm was small not much space if everyone had big bags. Safety locker was big, but the bottom locker was broken.
