CK Hostel

Some of the staff were pretty nice, while some of the volunteer staff there are just clearly there for the party and seem to be very incompetent. The hostel has a quiet time rule from 10pm in the rooms, however it does not help when the volunteer staff in the hostel plays music on his speaker in the hostel dorm in which he is staying in at 11.15pm when there are people clearly trying to sleep. Worst of all, he seemed to facilitate and enable other guests to party, drink and talk loudly in the dorms at 11pm as well. For someone that is representing the hostel, he does not do a good job at all in upholding the rules of the hostel.Smokes weed all day and comes into the room and fills the entire room with the smell of weed.Beds are decently clean. If you are lucky, you get a little bit of heating from the toilet showers. You get pretty selfish people who hang their wet clothes in the bathroom which leaves u no space to hang your stuff when you need to shower.You get a bunch of colourful personalities in the hostel. I get that it’s a party hostel, but i think it’s still pretty absurd that you get people coming back at 3am or 5am and trashing and playing about and talking loudly in the rooms. There were barely any nights i could get some proper sleep. Book this hostel at your own risk.

Very good hostel, I booked a room, which included a bed, small balcony, private bathroom, closet with enough space for two people, comfortable bed, quality and fair price

Some of the staff were helpful but most of them just very unprofessional. Read in some review that they were either high or incompetent and can completely agree with that. It looked like there are bunch of people working and no one really does anything. The first two days there was no running water, which ofc can happen but it would be nice to inform us or even apologize for the inconvenience. There was also a f up with our laundry which they didn’t solve and didn’t care about. Would not recommend or stay again. We ended up changing accommodation. The only good thing is the location. Also the atmosphere was kinda weird.

We booked 2 beds on the same booking, and did not get the same room. The staff (boys) were not helpful and did not want to cooperate with us. The guy that checked us in were too high to remember that he had already given me my bed. My friend was apparently given the wrong bed, the next day all her belongings were thrown on the floor. Her «new» bed, he was not sure if it was clean, but told her to sleep there. It was also missing a pillow, and the other guy who worked there (and was sleeping in the same room), gave her a pillow from under his feet.Didn’t seem like they took their job seriously.

I got a private room for 5 nights, and only stayed 1 night because it was SO loud at night with music blasting very late. I’ve learned that I just can’t do hostels and I’m a light sleeper, so take it as it is. But if you’re looking to sleep, this ain’t the place. I wasn’t able to get a refund so I gave the room to two friends who were staying in the bunk room. For what it’s worth, they said the room was great. Location is close to everything you’d want, and they have organized activities everyday. It’s just a very young vibe (early 20s) and very loud. I also barely got a “hello” when checking in, but rather they just asked me to pay and took me to my room with no mention of anything else, it felt very cold and unfriendly.

This hostel looks good but feels bad. We had the deluxe private room which looked nice and clean, but had to change to a cheaper one because of the loud music outside. It was impossible to sleep even with earplugs on. Our new room was loud as well and you could hear everything from outside and the hallway. In both rooms the matress was so hard that it actually hurts to sleep on your side. Luckily the lack of hot water really wakes you up after a sleepless night!

Got a private room - it was HUGE, clean, and the perfect reset I needed. The downstairs is a great place to nap or play pool. Very central location.

Overall great hostel. Comfortable,clean and well located

AMAZING staff, AMAZING people. I stayed for 2 weeks for than originally planned.

Had a great stay at CK doing some volunteering work. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and if you wanna meet some fellow backpackers it is defenitely recommended! Special shoutout to Zo for making us feel at home
