Beyond Samui

Hotel is very clean/ neat and nice. The room and bathroom are very large. The only thing that is inadequate is the lighting in the bathroom, hence a 1* deduction.Hotel is located north of the main center of Chaweng, can be reached by taxi in 200 minutes or on foot in 20 minutes. If you like it quiet, this is the right place for you. We were guests at the end of September and it is currently "low season" so the staff had enough time for usThe only drawback is that there is no beach and there is no sand at all at high tide.

Large and clean rooms facing one of the best beaches in Kosamui, the half board service is repetitive but the bar is always available..

Nice hotel very friendly and helpful staff , hotel rooms needs maintenance though, we were given a room AC not working , got relocated in another room door lock not working properly .

Unfortunately the experience was negative. Old structure and very poorly maintained, terrible cleanliness of the rooms, non-existent beach. The staff however were friendly and helpful.

There wasn't much going on in the hotel and the pool was often exclusive. The staff was very nice and helped us to organize a doctor at night. Thanks for that.Had a room with two bedrooms where everything worked and was clean. Parking for our car wasn't a problem either.Happy hour at the pool bar was from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Perfect for us.

Beyond Samui is a nice destination.Location-it’s a lovely 10-20min stroll along the beautiful beach to the main shopping district. Close enough and yet far enough for a peaceful relaxing time.Rooms-very spacious rooms and bathrooms with separate showers and bathtubs. The high shower water pressure is a definite plus. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. We were able to login to our personal Netflix account and watch all our favourite shows.Pool-1.5 meters deep throughout. Unfortunately none of the water features/fountains were operational and there is evidence of some maintenance issues needing repairs.Food-Average with menu choices of Asian and Western. This hotel has received multiple google reviews from guests to improve their food. The restaurant needs to improve their quality of food and include fresh local seafood.Note-there are over 40 stairs from the reception to your room, restaurant, and beach without lifts or wheelchair access, and although this will definitely improve your fitness level, it is not a suitable option for those with mobility issues or infants and elderly people.

Absolutely not recommend it. Waste of moneyFirstly, if you are traveling with a baby or you are a person with special care requirements, this hotel is not for you. There are so many stairs to go in and out of your room that it is super difficult to carry your baby stroller or wheelchair up and down from your room. The ramp they build is super steep and still requires to use the stairs first. Same is the case if you want to go to the pool or beach or breakfast.Breakfast - Absolutely ridiculous. No flavors, no variety, even the food is almost finished most of the time, doesn’t matter the time you go for the breakfast. The coffee tastes like mud and they use very cheap quality of coffee and if you ask the staff to make light coffee they would not understand and get angry at you.Rooms - Even though the rooms are nice but the cleaning makes it worst. The bedsheets are dirty and torned. The bathrooms are not cleaned thoroughly. The bins have a lot of dust collected over time. The cleaners don’t clean under the sofa or dining table. The cutlery was dirty at the table and it was like that when she cleaned the room.The pond - the pond is so dirty that it attracts tons of mosquitoes and flies and what not and as it is in front of the rooms if you are on the ground floor, you’ll be eaten alive if you leave your door open for a minute. I asked the guy who cleans it and he says they clean once in 3 months. It’s filthy and disgusting.The pool- the pool is dirty with mold on the side walls. The steps are solid and rough tiles so if you slip or swim into the corner, you will injure yourself.Internet - very very slow but okay if you manage to connect. I was told that I cant connect my laptop which is may be due to the fact that they do not want to help out the customer with such problems.Some of the staff are nice but most of them are rude and they do nit understand english or what you are asking them.Overall it was a waste of money and we should have chosen another hotel for our stay. People with a baby, please DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL. It’s a nightmare. It’s time that Kata group should take notice of this hotel and improve their services and hire better staff.
