Located in a beautiful spot on Cheow Lan Lake, this large raft! The rooms are of course not great, but you can't expect that for this price. We slept in the rooms with a private bathroom.You feel like you are completely in nature, where you can walk out of your hut and dive into the water!There is plenty of food served and there is even a mini supermarket!The rooms and decks are in need of renovation.

We can't understand all the negative reviews. The location was unbeatably fantastic, we even liked it so much that we spontaneously extended our stay with our guide in the morning.We would have been really annoyed if we hadn't taken this little trip because of the bad reviews.You know in advance that there will be no electricity from 6 to 6. The food was good to very good, considering where and how it was prepared.There is a small kiosk where you can buy the essentials at normal prices. Our guide Woodie was also great, he provided us with good information.On the second evening we were even given extra food and didn't get the same as the “new” group.The beds are really very hard, it worked on the second evening and my back got used to it.Definitely invest the 200 baht for the room with a private bathroom if you haven't booked it beforehand. This also gives you a large window with a view of the lake!We really enjoyed this trip and would do it again and again.

The Dutch are always so good at whining.You are in the Thai jungle, what can you expect. It is simple and indeed not the most luxurious. If that's what you're looking for, it's better to pay a little more money and stay in a more expensive house. This is a cheaper option, so don't expect to sit in the front row for pennies.Everything is well organized and the staff is very nice. The view is really great.We stayed two nights. The first day we saw 0 animals and the second day we saw many types of animals. Don't expect to find anything guaranteed. They really do their best so that you can see as many animals as possible. They also really know a lot about the little things in the jungle which is super interesting.We enjoyed it immensely.

The place is magnificent but this agency almost managed to ruin such a great experience:- most of the tour consisted of waiting (arrival at the site 3h30 after the pick-up at the hotel!!), 30 minutes of waiting then for the raft, waiting for the mini vans, ...- extremely noisy boat which scares away all the wildlife- dilapidated bungalows- Snakes sometimes enter the room and of course a swarm of geckos- obligatory buoy layer for swimming in the lagoon- we are treated like a herd of animals with rather infantilizing instructions- welcome to a pseudo-hospital service: meal at 7 p.m. and lunch at 10:30 a.m.!!!!- etc.The best moment is the one felt when you manage to escape from the floating prison with a kayak, finding yourself almost alone in a mysterious and captivating nature.

There is no problem with the environment. Enjoying it and being able to see this natural park is incredible.The site; very bad Poorly maintained cabins, dirty and broken bathroom. The cover loose.We paid a pretty penny for the place and were very disappointed. We paid for 5 and the cabin was for four; four towels, four blankets and space for four people. According to them you pay per person.The unfortunate arrival walkway. My son fell and hurt himself (he is a child and it could have happened elsewhere).Torn vests, rafting paddles in very poor condition...I don't recommend it.

Houses were a drama. Houses are on the water and go up and down all day and night. The toilet and shower were in each other and were really clumsy and dirty. The people were anything but friendly and you didn't feel at home. The tours were a bit disappointing. Going out with the kayaks was very cool and relaxing, definitely recommended! The view was truly amazing, something you won't see anywhere else. The food was below average. If you are an easy sleeper it is doable, but if not you have to accept that it will be a tough night.Would I do this again knowing what I know now? Yes, if you are with the right people.

Amazing location in the middle of the lake and the jungle. Very good trekking and safari activities with very good and friendly guides. They have kayaks and life jackets included in the price. Very basic camp-style food.It's also incredible that the rooms on our side don't have glass in the windows but rather some kind of louvers through which cockroaches, ants, geckos, and of course, mosquitoes slip in. The bathrooms are communal and their condition is unacceptable. Dirty, old, humid, dark. The wooden platforms that connect the whole complex are in such a bad state that they are a hazard. The guides live in tents in the middle of the bathroom corridors and the employees sleep on the dining room floor. Maybe for Russian and Chinese tourists this is acceptable, but I find it immoral, besides giving a very bad image. We booked through the Bliss Hotel in Khao Sok. We don't understand how such a good hotel can recommend such a bad product.

The environment is magical but that’s the part made by nature. This human-being made and managed resort is horrible. Rooms are run down, simply disgusting. The staff is hard working but everything but helpful. I can imagine receiving a bunch of new tourists every twe days must be very exhausting but a little effort would be great. I have no clue if other resorts on the lake are better but try to avoid this one. The have some work to do to get things good again.

Environment a 10 and really a very special experience. Definitely something to do if you stay in Thailand! Food has improved a lot and is more than good. Did not get sick afterwards as described in some reviews!

We stayed at the hotel as part of a group excursion. The food is simple, no frills, but there was enough of it. The rooms don't seem to be cleaned at all. Since everyone comes for one night, they simply change linen and towels. They only give out soap!!! Lights from 6 pm to 6 am. It is not possible to enjoy the sounds of the jungle, since the generator is running and the fans are rattling in each house. Sleeping is very stuffy and hot, but nothing can be done about it. For those who do not tolerate heat well, it is better to go on a 1-day excursion. There is a shop where you can buy cold drinks and beer and hygiene items that are not in the rooms. The markup is moderate, taking into account the distance for delivery of the goods. The coolest thing is swimming in the lake! On the safari we only saw monkeys.

It is a half star HOSTEL at a 5 star price, dirty rooms, non-existent service, tasteless food, the views are BEAUTIFUL.The worst hotel (and the most expensive) I have been to in Thailand.I repeat, the natural park is Incredibly BEAUTIFUL, only this hotel is a tourist trap.

I give two stars for the location which is stunning, otherwise this place is a clear no-go.The rooms are shabby and dirty, there is basically nothing in the room except for two rock-hard beds. It is not even possible to hang towels anywhere. Electricity is only from 6PM, there is no Wi-fi. Food is mediocre at best. Staff is uninterested and unfriendly. Kayaking is not free as advertised, you have to pay for it. We came with a tour arranged by our hotel, but I would advise everyone to check with the tour operator which raft house they are going to, and if it is this one avoid it and choose another tour.

This is next to the worst place I have ever stayed, and I say that as someone who has stayed at a lot of different accommodations. I ended up here because it was booked as part of a package tour of the lake. The food was ample and ok, my tour-assigned guides were fine for the most part. The raft hotel staff I encountered were surly and not helpful.The "mattress" was boardlike; if you stood on it there wasn't even an indentation. The shower is open to the rest of the bathroom, no curtain, so once you shower the next person has a slippery floor to contend with. The shower drains to a 2 inch hole in the floor over the lake with not even a grate to keep out the creepy crawlies. The room seemed clean. Linen was clean. Fans/electricity cut off at 6am, while it's still dark, and there are no mosquito nets, no hammocks, no place to sit other than wooden benches outside or wooden chairs in the dining area.The fans were totally inadequate to cool the room. I ended up sleeping with the curtain drawn and door open, or I would likely have had heatstroke.If anyone walks past the rooms on the rickety walkway, the metal drums which serve as floaters screech and scrape against each other loudly.The view from the front is great, serene. The rafthouse isn't positioned well for great sunrise or sunset views. Behind the resort you can watch monkeys pick through the trash which is dumped by the rafthouse.I would possibly recommend this place to an enemy, never to a friend.

I was here on a two-day group excursion to Khao Sok. Excellent location. The rooms are very basic. There is a fan and water bottles. The food is delicious. You can kayak, just swim and sunbathe. And most importantly, you can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding mountains, sunrises and sunsets.

“Hotel California” is the nickname my wife and I came up with for this place. By the time you realize what you’re getting into, you literally cannot get out.The room never dropped below 90 degrees Fahrenheit because all they give you is a tiny fan that only turns on after 6:30 PM. You had to pay baht to get a key for your room. The whole area had a horrible smell most of the time. We assumed it was rotting fish after watching them eat the trash floating in the water. You must wear a life jacket at all times while doing any water activity and they only give you an XL size which more or less ruins swimming if you’re a smaller build. Meals were shared and you could only ask for extras on one dish and they always seemed reluctant to do so. Drinking water was not free. Our bathroom was wet the entire time because the floor doesn’t drain properly. It stunk and was just awful to be in. If you want protection from unfriendly guests you had to close everything up which made the room well over 100 degrees for us. Even then, we had cockroaches crawling up from the drain in the bathroom.I haven’t even gotten to the room. The pillows were the worst I’ve ever used. After laying on the bed watching a show for an hour my entire backside was completely sore as if I had just laid on the ground. I didn’t know mattresses existed that were as hard as concrete. You CANNOT escape people. You are literally constrained to a few floating platforms with almost a 100 people. They served alcohol, so the people getting hammered exasperated the issue.We pleaded with our guide to let us go back and find a different place to stay and we were told it was impossible. So, all in all, we spent a day of our vacation in what felt like a prison. I would avoid this place at all costs. It was the worst accommodation we stayed in during our entire three week trip through Thailand.

Basic bungalow, sufficient for one night. No sheets provided, you will need to bring your own. The mattress is just a board.Magnificent setting in the middle of the lake and good meal.

For the price, this is a good choice. Many more expensive places and this place has an equally good location. As previously mentioned reviews, the beds are hard, and the rooms hot because there is no AC and the electricity only comes on at 6 in the evening. The staff is very nice and our guide "Pinocchio" was fantastic. Recommended for backpackers who want a slightly cheaper stay!
