Samui green hotel

Normal hotel. There are many restaurants nearby and the beach is nearby. The contingent is European youth. The room has EVERYTHING you need, even hooks in the bathroom. Cleaning upon request every day. The hotel has a problem with air conditioning. We lived in room 101 overlooking the street, where the air conditioner blew but practically did not cool us down. Then we moved to room 108 with a balcony and a view of the courtyard, where the air conditioning worked a little better.The hotel owners need to repair the air conditioners.

Air conditioners are placed above the bed and blow directly on you while you sleep. The air routing on the air conditioners is broken, so you can't control it as it suits you.The location is relatively close to nightlife, about 15 minutes on foot.An affordable hotel that offers decent accommodation.

There is no elevator, it is inconvenient to live with a stroller. Every time you have to walk up to the 3rd floor along a narrow staircase. For 4 days in a row they asked both the cleaners and the administrator to change the bed linen, completely ignored. The bed linen is washed and gray. Until she took off the bed linen and threw it on the floor, they didn’t replace it for us. Room cleaning is very bad, we had to ask for shampoo because they forgot to supply it. There is sand everywhere, it takes about 5 minutes to clean up. Cotton swabs, toothpaste, etc. are not provided. Very old towels. All the furniture is old. It stinks very much of marijuana, as someone is constantly smoking it on the common balcony.We wanted to leave the hotel, but the administrator said that the money would not be returned.There is no parking for a bike or car.The only pluses are the good location, close to a good beach and 10 minutes walk to Central SAMUI.But I would never return to this hotel. I don't know why it has such a high rating.By the way, there is no breakfast. But in the cafe on the ground floor of the hotel, a regular breakfast for 2 adults and a child cost around 800 baht.

It is just close to the beach. Nothing but nothing else is worth to be mentioned. Especialy with Kids better check out something more worth your money for a pleasant stay in Ko Samui. Because there is and others know how to take care.

BRING EAR PLUGS OR BOOK A ROOM AT THE BACK OF THE HOTELGreat location with a short walk north to Samui Central mall which houses all sorts of shops and is stunning at night. It's open 1000-2200.To the south are the quieter, more established restaurants and bars which we referred to as Old Town.The beach is behind the hotel and only a short walk away.There's a great night market behind Samui Central and beyond that a lake. The food stalls in the first aisle of the night market are great especially the skewered meat stall, the Pad Thai stall and the large crab rolls stall. You'll see which I mean when you go there.Right next to Samui Central is, what we referred to as, The Strip, multiple bars, some with live music. The whole town tends to cater to the Older crowd but there are plenty of younger people there but they don't overpower the place.At the hotel we had a very welcoming reception from a friendly, humorous lady who booked us in quickly and showed us up to our room, 202, at the front of the hotel.It is a nice big room with 1 double and 2 single beds. TV, kettle and hot drinks kit, air con that worked well albeit the vent cover rattled but a plug of loo roll fixed that.The bathroom was a nice split room with the sink in a wide countertop and the loo against the wall. Beyond the divide was the shower area with a good, decent flow, shower and a shelf with a hanging area at the dry end to hang wet clothes etc.There was hanging room in the wardrobe and a safe that was secured in place with easy to understand instructions.A kettle and tea kit was placed at the end of the desk type countertop but the nearest power point without unplugging the TV and digital box was above one of the single beds.Beneath the countertop was a fridge with its own dedicated socket under the TV and a desk chair.All was great until nighttime when we realised that the windows were old, aluminium framed, single glazed units which were useless at keeping out the noise of passing traffic, the piddly little mopeds with loud boy exhausts and the manhole covers below our window which clattered loudly with every vehicle that ran over themOn the second and following night we resorted to using earplugs which did the job. Luckily we didn't have any important alarms due that needed us to wake up at a set timeIt's good to see that in the response to my "place marking entry notes" the manager mentioned that improvements to the insulation are due during the upcoming low season and that the council are failing to fix the manhole. Hopefully when it is off season this will be addressed.He also says that people get upgraded to the rooms at the rear when there is space so definitely something to ask for.The hotel can arrange taxis etc but from experience ask the staff to double check the taxi is on route a good half hour before pick up time.Ours went to the port to pick us up rather than coming to the hotel to take us to the port.They said he would be with us in 10 minutes, typical "Thai Time" estimate. Say whatever to please the person and let them deal with the subsequent disappointment.25 minutes later she checked again on my request and he arrived within minutes.We made our ferry late but again "Thai Time" stepped in and the boat was nearly an hour late leaving.

Great hotel, excellen location. Walking distance from Chaweng beach and nightlife

Highly recommend samui green hotel. Great value for money. Room was clean and staff at reception were very helpful allowing early check in and assisting with booking any tours for cheap prices.
