The Lazy Bar and Guesthouse

SCAMMER!!! Beware I booked a night stay at this hotel apon arrival I was told by owner that the room I had booked was already occupied and no longer available, and the only room he had avaliable was 5x the price of the original room I booked, I asked for a refund but was declined by the owner for no valid reason, I hope you'll read this a think twice about booking, there are plenty of over nice hostels around this location for the same price, Slumber party house was a great alternative!

If you like chaos, welcome!When we arrived, smiling and in a good mood, we were immediately put in the mood. Indeed, Bob, not finding our reservation, yelled at us. After 10 minutes of bad faith from Bob and arguments on our part, we were able to get a room (dirty, empty bottles under the beds, broken sink, pieces of wall falling down...).The next day, we had to change rooms. And what a surprise! No sheets, only a dirty mattress and the pillowcases that previous guests had slept on.Throughout the stay, Bob was obnoxious, lots of mood swings.Fortunately, his wife, always smiling, made herself available to try to make our stay more pleasant. Thanks to her!The day we left, Bob kicked us out without any kindness, only to give the key to a customer 20 seconds later (no cleaning done between 2 visits).Despite the presence of his wife, it was impossible for us to feel comfortable in this place, fearing the next adventures.We don't recommend this place unless you want to test and push your limits.PS: the star awarded is only for Bob's wife.

Best bar in all of Thailand. Bob and his wife are so welcoming and the best people we have met here the whole trip. Look forward to coming back in years to come. Amazing food here also, the Tom yum is a must try! Thank you both again!!

We booked the room because it was cheap and therefore we didn't have high expectations. They were nice and happy that we were their guests. I think because of all the bad reviews things aren't going so well for them anymore. The room was also clean and we got drinks, shampoo and clean towels straight away. The climate wasn't really good at first, but when we asked, everything was fine. The bar is cool with great music. The woman was very helpful and recommended good places for us. Bob was a little strange at first but friendly and everything worked out.

We booked a room with air conditioning.When we arrived Bob the owner was very nice. He briefly showed us the room and then immediately took the remote control for the air conditioning. While he let us into the room, he immediately involved us in a conversation so that we couldn't really look at the room because he immediately took us out again and sold us his overpriced weed. You have to say that it was our fault because we couldn't say no because we also thought maybe he was really cool and would support him by buying something from him. Then we went back to the room and were just wondering how the air conditioning works without a remote control. I wanted to go to the toilet and that's when we really saw how dirty everything was. In the bathroom there were still old bottles and people's trash lying around in front of it and it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. My friend became alarmed and wanted to clean the toilet himself when we discovered that the flush didn't even work. When we noticed that other people's trash was still here, we asked ourselves whether the bed had even been freshly made. In general it was just very dirty. Then we pointed out to Bob that the toilet wasn't working and asked how the air conditioning worked. Then he got a little strange and said we paid so little because there was no air conditioning. He said he would repair the toilet otherwise we could use another one that was outside the room. He also offered us a super overpriced scooter and you could generally tell that he wanted money. Even after we bought his expensive weed he couldn't let us out and offered us an old beer instead. In general we didn't feel comfortable with him and had reservations about spending the night with him. We went to the beach to eat and thought about it and then rented new accommodation. Since we were really a little afraid of him, we were nervous and thought about asking him that we wanted to check out because of all the things, but we were afraid that he would get aggressive. So in the end we packed our things, handed him the key and just left.Never again. He shouldn't be allowed to serve guests

So I understand the other negative comments and it's true, Bob is not your friend, he is not here to take care of you but for the money. Everything he does (when you let him do it) is for the money. So if you look to play games and have a crazy time that will challenge you you should definetly come here. If you look to a have a quiet peaceful time this not the place to go. I am in the latter category, that's why I give 1 star.But even if you come here, just have beers and make sure you never pay his drinks as he will try to make you do it. Don't buy marijuana as you can find the same and better down the road for 70% less.My story is that I was here having a good time with my girlfriend and meeting some other tourists there, who where very nice! Bob told me to talk to them because it was only us.Later when the time came and we wanted to leave, we had to pay. So in my bad, I didnt have left a lot of cash, Bob says we need to pay 1050 THB. I ask why, and he immediatly says actually it's 850 THB. For 2 beers (2x100), 1 cocktail (250), 2 rum and coke (200x2). It is notable to know that you need to make sure when he asks you to pay for his drink to say no very clearly, otherwise Bob will misunderstand in purpose to trick you. That's why I payed extra 200 THB.850 THB but I don't have so much in cash and I need to withdraw, so I tell him if I can transfer him to a bank account he says yes.I transfer, he says he hasn't received and that he doesnt want me to pay by transfer anymore, although I already pay. He starts being very aggressive, and telling me to go find the cash.It is ok to challenge him for fun because and keep your mind clear when he insists and starts being aggressive cause he can't do nothing. And if you stay calm and not triggered, even though he is still angry and aggressive he realises he cannot **** with you. Told my girlfriend to go withdraw, I cancelled the transfer on my phone and refunded as I can do that. He told me to go bring the cash but I told my girlfriend to go for 3 reasons, I didn't want her to stay alone with him and being manipulated, I wanted to stay and confront him in a peaceful way so he can see that his tricks don 't work on me and he can't hide.At this point there were other customers that were here and I went to talk to them to be careful not pay by transfer because it is not working, at what Bob responded annoyed, you don't need to be here, they have cash, they are not my problem.He always tries to make you feel like you are weird just to hide the fact he is acting weird. Asking me what's wrong with me. The same person that asks me to gather with people, tells me later to stay away.For me it was a very funny experience as I almost got scammed, but didn't, made fun of Bob as he is like a kid, kids are funny and entertaining but you should never give them power over you, and you need to be in control of the situation to, not letting him do what he wants.Definetly not gonna go again but It's good to challenge yourself from time to time.

All the reviews are legit. Bring small money if you truly wanna visit, because bob will not have change for you and of course will over charge you and keep selling weed to you.
