Small, clean and comfortable. Each room only had 4 beds so not crowded at all, with small lockers and privacy curtains. Amor, the host, is lovely and knowledgeable and was available for my endless questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We didn't stay at this Place.but we came here to rest and buy a sim card since we are staying at the other guesthouse called 1 min. to Slowboat guesthouse. This place is really cozy and clean. Amor such a friendly, kind and welcoming Host.She managed the Hostel and other place with Full of Love. You will not hesitate to asks questions because she's always ready to answer the questions and help you with everything you need during your stay at BAN HOUIXAY.i highly recommended this place.Thank you Amor for the wonderful stay You are the best assets in both Hostel and guesthouse.Good luck on your next Journey.

We were lucky enough to check in with no notice in low season, but I imagine when it's busy you stand no chance, and for good reason. An amazing little hostel, the host is amazing and sweet, beds are comfy, air con is great and its all very clean and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone before getting the slow boat. Thanks for our stay!

It’s a small hostel, 2 rooms of 4 people maximum.The location is excellent and you have also breakfast available on site so it’s perfect for start your day.Many foods around.Amor the manager is soooooo nice.If you need a quiet and clean hostel, you know already where you have to go 😉

I stayed 1 night for the Gibbon Experience. Had a really nice stay. We were able to arrange breakfast, shoes and a SIM card through the hostel, were helped with every question and especially the hostess Amor helped us very well.

The beds were so comfy, the breakfast was delicious and Amor, the host, was amazing! She was very helpful with what to pack for the Gibbon Experience, allowed me to have a later check out when my bus wasn’t leaving until 3.30 and even after I left and was messed around by the bus company, she stayed in contact to help me out. The location is also perfect, being only a 2 minute walk from the Gibbon Experience and also Bokeo Cafe which is a great place to eat. Highly recommend!

One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Super clean and comfortable. The host, Amor, it’s super nice and takes care of every tiny detail. I’m very thankful to her for the help she provided and I would really recommend this place.

Definitely stay here, the most friendly lady which runs the place, she can sort you out with everything for the gibbon experience and slow boat and probably speaks the best english in the entirety of Loas.

Offers SIM cards, and currency exchange to Kip, but if you are willing to walk a hundred metres or so down the road, you can get a much better exchange rate.. still can't beat the convenience of the exchange being at your reception!

We didn’t stay at the Little Hostel and stayed opposite but we found the owner to be extremely helpful as we arrived in Laos and she was able to assist us booking tickets for the slow boat to make our way to Luang Prabang and SIM cards. Very friendly and speaks very good English!

Clean and simple rooms for a great price, recommended if you’re getting the slow boat as they sell tickets at the hostel + a tuk tuk to the pier.

I didn't book room there but it sells overpriced sim card. 3 days sim card charges 180 baht. It is exactly a blatant robbery .
