Milin Guesthouse 2 years ago. It consits of little charming Houses. The Owner Mr. Aek and his Wife Bee are very friendly People. Going there and enjoy Chiang Rai. Great Place to be.

Chose this guesthouse based on the reviews. The enthusiastic host will give you a friendly welcome every time you wake up, when you leave or return. He is very helpful and interested. His wife and children are also very sweet. Alex's wife cooks simple, but delicious.The location is also very nice. You are outside the hustle and bustle with the scooter for about 6 minutes. This makes it very quiet. And there is a delicious restaurant nearby. Renting a scooter is therefore a must, or you have to take a grab taxi or bolt taxi every time, but those costs are higher than if you rent a scooter.Unfortunately, we only gave 3 stars to the rooms and especially to the comfort. After a very long journey we really needed comfort. Unfortunately we couldn't find this here. We found the beds extremely hard. We had a seat outside, but we also had to get extra cushions from inside. The shower is also next to the toilet, so everything is wet after showering. This is common here, but sometimes really annoying. The rooms are also extremely noisy.Furthermore, breakfast is simple, boiled vegetables with some meat and an egg (fried) and some white bread. We brought fruit from the market ourselves, so we still had a well-filled breakfast.

Adorable and caring owner, really inexpensive for this quiet place but close to all amenities, very nice restaurant just a stone's throw away, waking up to the sound of birdsong. I highly recommend, you feel really good there.

Great guesthouse with super nice owners. We slept extremely good in this guesthouse. It is very quiet and the matress is very comfy. We rented a scooter from the guesthouse and it is just 10 minutes to the city. We definitely recommend staying here. For us it was a lot better than in the city center.

We had an amazing experience staying at Alex and his family's home for 3-4 weeks. The room was nice and clean, and there was a lot of space outside to relax. We worked remotely, so we often borrowed bikes and went to nice coffee shops in the surrounding area. The area was quiet and safe, close to nature with many caves, temples, and interesting places to explore. The downtown is nearby, about 10-15min by bike.Alex and his family were great hosts - very responsive, flexible, and kind. It was always fun to hang out and chat with Alex who was really knowledgeable about Chiang Rai and many aspects of Thai culture and history. We appreciated the fantastic daily breakfasts and laundry service. Overall, we felt super at home at Alex's and would for sure visit again in the future.

Nice place just outside Chiangrai. Friendly owners husband wife. Nice houses with a place to lie down in front of them. Beautiful garden. The owner took me to 7 Eleven on his moped a few times. Simple but good breakfast

Stayed here a few years ago now. But when I stayed the owner was friendly and helpful. Dropped me off at the airport when leaving. Room was clean and tidy and breakfast was nice. Lovely place to stay.
