Denis and his family made our stay in Chiang Rai unbeatable, despite the tragic situation the city was going through after the typhoon. We hope to return to Chiang Rai one day, see the city recovered and be able to stay in this place again.

I had the pleasure of drinking here the night these guys opened. I can honestly say they were some of the most hospitable people I met in all my travels throughout Asia. Great bar and great people and what a lovely environment to stay. I’m glad to see that other people have experienced the same thing as time has gone on

Very poor experience with the place being largely deserted. No breakfast available at all despite paying for this and speaking to staff about this the afternoon before. When we commented about this in a review on the booking site their reply was incorrect, but there was no facility to reply to this. We "checked out" at 11am and up until that time the place was still in darkness. Elevator broken, lights in stairs out... I'm sure there are many far better options nearby.

I'm only reviewing the bar because I wasn't a guest at the hotel. We went to this bar looking for fresh draft beer. From a distance you can see a meadow landlady with beer mugs in front of her chest. “Bavarian” is emblazoned on the house in large letters, surrounded by pretzels and beer mugs. Then the shock: there is no draft beer at all!! Bottled beer selection only standard, like in every tiny shop :-(

It was a great experience, and I highly recommend! We took a room for three nights, the staff was great the rooms were great and the location was excellent. If you come to Chiang Rai come here!

Had a lovely stay at this wonderful guest house! Everything was super clean, had a lovely balcony, the hosts were extremely welcoming and kind! Highly recommended when you search for a quick place to stay in the beautiful Chiang Rai!

The beer is good. There are 2-3 taps of draft foreign brands to choose from. The prices are a bit steep. Most of the customers are foreigners. The Thai people are cute and take care of you. They talk well. I just found out that there is a room upstairs as well. Didn't try the food because the kitchen was being reworked. new chef trend Change owner So I just sat and drank beer. Good location near the clock tower. It's in an alley with a lot of foreign bars. The shop has a pool table and a screen to watch football. It's lively at night. There are a lot of foreigners. Everyone likes it too.

It's DEFINITELY a good accommodation to have in Chiang Rai ! The place is quite clean and the atmosphere is quite awesome, the first floor is a bar at night, also could order foods, it's really convenient for traveler.The most important thing I wanna emphasize is the host couple are extremely nice and friendly, bc my shoes are wet and I need some newspaper to dry it. But it's quite hard to find there recently, they still try there best to help me! That's really nice. I really like them soooooooo much!!! If I came back again, I must bring some gift for them, THEY DO MAKE MY DAY IN CHIANG RAI !!🥰🥰 also really appreciate all the staff there!! ( hope you guys could see my appreciation)

Couldn't fault anything, rooms are absolutely perfect, it's in a great location, the beds were soo comfy, I've never had a better night sleepm honestly if your considered this place, you won't regret it, food is delicious too 😋

If you are a young traveller go and visit! The staff and owners are lovely and I couldn't have asked to be better looked after and advised on where to go and what to see! The food is incredible and everything is very reasonably priced, if you're looking for a good time, they have it!

The Bavarian in Chiang Rai is simply outstanding! Perfectly located beside the clock tower, the rooms are beautiful with unique features and high-quality furniture. The food is impeccable, and their real chef ensures an unforgettable culinary experience. Competitive prices, incomparable quality(unreal burgers), and they even have two free pool tables. Highly recommended!
