Nice rooms in a kind of tree house. View, beach, service and food good. It's just a bit far from the center on foot, but there are boats.

Lovely resort, good food, beautiful beach. They have Kayaks for rent and take care of pickup and drop off to the pier via long tail boatsDon’t choose this place if you want to be close to the town. It’s secluded and requires a 25min hike to get to the town.

Lovely place, the bungalows were in the middle of the jungle, the stuff was very friendly and the restaurant had good thai food options. Added bonus the cute cats that could be seen around the resort!

The hotel is in the middle of the 'forest' which means there are more insects, and we are okay with that. But we paid almost 100 dollars a day, so that in the middle of the night rats appeared on the ceiling and one got under the sink. I understand any insect but rats are already unpleasant. The rooms are large, the place is close to the long beach, and a 20/30 minute walk from the center of the island. The staff is generally friendly. But the rat thing is something to check.

We stayed 3 nights in one of the most expensive rooms, and we discovered that there were rats inside. Also the windows are not well sealed which causes mosquitoes to filter in, the mattress was not comfortable. The location is great, as is the atmosphere. But unacceptable to have rats inside the room.

VERY NICE HOTEL BUT DIFFICULT TO ACCESS!Positive points: The place and the rooms (beachfront with private access to the beach) have very beautiful views and convey a lot of tranquility. The rooms are huge and very comfortable.Negative points: Its difficult access (Being in a privileged place and far from the center of the island, access is very complex, especially at night when you have to go through bad roads without lighting (45-50 minutes walk ) The hotel could improve this with just some lighting. It can only be accessed in two ways: By boat (the hotel only offers it free for check-in and check-out) and on foot.NOTHING RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WITH DIFFICULT MOBILITY AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE THE HOTEL AND ENJOY BEING IN THE FULL JUNGLE!The service is correct.

I stayed at vikings resort last week. The room was really good. Spacious and neat. But the service was dismal at best. From the moment we stepped in the receptionists were distant and passive in their responses. It's a 25min walk to reach main town. The path is not lit and is almost completely dark after 6pm. Worst part is the inconvenience to the guests by design: first ferry from Phi phi island is at 9am. The resort staff recommended to reach the pier by 8:15am (it takes 10mins boat ride from resort to pier). The boat shuttle service from the resort starts at 8:30am. To leave before 8:30am each person has to pay 100bht.Also we were not allowed to have our complimentary breakfast at the resort on our checkout day, citing that they won't serve the food before 8am even if it is ready. Note: We had mentioned about our early check out the previous day and they confirmed that we could have whatever was ready before we leave as we were not interested in the packed food they were arranging for us ( musili with yogurt and some cut fruits). The worst part is they allowed another couple to have breakfast who had not even informed the hotel about early check out.

Wonderful rooms, great beach. These are the only two good things about the resort. But we did not enjoy the time spent at the resort thanks to the terrible service and attitude of the staff.1. Checking in is simple, whatever time you arrive at the main pier, they will pick you up by a long tail boat for free.2. We had got details of island hoping trips arranged by the resost over mail before we had booked our stay at resort. After checking in, the staff asked us to contact a different number to book a island hoping package. The prices and itenerary were completely different from the one Viking resort had confirmed over mail. The staff were least bothered when we highlighted this concern. We had no choise, but to walk to the town and book a different package through a different operator.3. While checking in is allowed at any time, they will offer a boat to the main pier for checkout 3 or 4 times in the day. If your check out is it a different time, you have to pay an additional 100 to 150 Bhat per person for the boat depending on the time. Basically, except when checking out at the time deduced by the resort, be prepared to pay more. A person who is not checking out can't take one of these boats even though it's empty.3. There is a walkway to the town from the resort which takes about half an hour. Some ups and downs, but fairly easy if you are not carrying heavy bags.4. This hike to the town and the premium they charge for a boat makes you kind of a prisoner in to the resort5. Their breakfast timing starts from 8:00 am. We had a ferry at 8:30 and had requested for an early breakfast of sandwiches or whichever dish is available by 7:45 am. They outright denied us to have breakfast even thought the buffet was set by 7:30. Instead the had packed some muesli, yogurt and fruits in a bag. It is not a travel friendly packing. They were too adament to listen to our requests.6. They still stuck to the outdated concept of breakfast coupons, 1000 Bhat deposit for the room key and 200 Bhat deposit for a beach towel.7. They do not turn on the lights in thenight at common areas. It gets down difficult to walk in the dark in the open8. They are reluctant to help you load luggages during check out to the boat district check out.Overall, I felt that this place was too far from town, had terrible service and not worth the effort. There are other resorts one can choose closer to the town.

I recently stayed at this resort for two nights and had a mixed experience.Pros:The rooms, especially in the Makmai category, are fantastic, with excellent facilities that made our stay comfortable. The location is peaceful, far from the crowded Phi Phi area, providing a tranquil escape.Cons:Despite booking a private island-hopping tour through email before arrival, the staff were unhelpful upon arrival, and our pre-arranged plans were ignored. The resort is a 25-minute walk from the main town, and while they offer boat transfers, it's at a cost of 100TBH per person per way. No free checkout transfer was provided, which was disappointing. On the checkout day, even though breakfast was included in our booking, we weren't allowed to dine at the buffet and were instead given a poor-quality packed meal. The unwelcoming attitude of the staff was a major letdown.Overall, the resort is great for its serene location and well-appointed rooms, but the service needs improvement, especially in fulfilling basic expectations.
