Mookies Bungalow

We stayed here for 5 nights, and even though it was low season in September 2024, they were still open for business. The breakfast was delicious, and we were able to rent a scooter from them. We had this beautiful location almost to ourselves. It’s perfectly located, very quiet, and near a stunning beach. However, a pack of extremely skinny dogs may greet you there. During monsoon season, the beach can be dirty due to washed-up debris, and snorkeling isn’t really possible because of the wind, rain, and rough sea.

We were here out of season, the staff were super nice and helpful. The bungalows have everything you need, would of course recommend air conditioning :). A few geckos come into the room every now and then, but that didn't bother us. We were allowed to use the bikes for free and it's not far to the beach. Because of the garbage and the dogs, everyone has to decide for themselves whether they should travel during this time, but in the season it is definitely a great and perfect place to stay 🌞

Absolutely fantastic location, even though it's about a 5 minute walk to the sea.Very, very nice staff in the department.It's located right in the jungle and you have a natural concert at its finest. Tokeh, cicadas, geckos and much more. There are also monkeys, but didn't see any. To be on the safe side, you shouldn't leave anything lying around unattended. Also no shoes etc on the terrace as there are a lot of dogs out and about.Scooters and bicycles can be easily rented. Massages too.Everything was great and we are already looking forward to the next visit.Thank you for everything!!

Nice place with sounds of the jungle around you. Close to Charlie Beach with the most stunning sunsets on the island. Nice and cosy bungalows, helpful stuff.

Run away!!! NOT RECOMMENDED !!! The air conditioner had a lot of mold and there was very thick dust under the bed. If you are looking for a clean place to stay, this place is not the one.We have reserved accommodation for 5 nights. Queen room with garden view, room number 101. Checking in to the room has no electricity (but it's not a problem from the accommodation because it's the work of electricity on the island). When entering the room, "towels" were not provided. Had to walk straight to the hotel's restaurant 3 times and still didn't get to sit and wait in front of the room. Got more than 2 hours. Electricity still hasn't come. Until we started to explore the air conditioner in the room. which is full of fungus A lot, a lot. And under the bed was full of dust. There were also candies from previous guests under the bed, on the edge of the bed, not deep inside. This indicates that the underside of the bed was not cleaned at all.When we found the fungus, we quickly walked to the restaurant. Ask for a front desk employee. But they reported the matter to the staff at the restaurant because the front staff was out on business.When the front desk staff returned, they brought spray foam and sprayed it inside the air conditioner. This is not the deep clean that a pressure washer should be. And he has informed that today the room is fully reserved. Unable to change roomsBut we were quite tired. And the next day I had to go on a trip, so I thought, ah, let's talk about staying here first. Because the next day I went out all day.In conclusion, we all had a cold and a runny nose.The room is small, narrow and the ceiling is very low. Being in the room feels uncomfortable. When another person moves, the bed shakes like when a plane crashes into the air all the time, causing dizziness during the middle of the stay. We will spend most of our lives outside. Because I cannot rest during the day in the room at all.The price is very inappropriate. A room like this, this price is considered very expensive.I have attached some photos of air conditioner before it get clean(first 2 photos) and after 4 days of cleaning 😷🤮

I particularly liked the care, kindness and friendliness with which I was received and welcomed. The person responsible for the resort demonstrated above average availability to respond to guests' needs and desires. And even though she is full of work, she always finds a moment to talk and share information about the island and the way of life of the local community. The surrounding environment is magnificent. And the most beautiful beach on the island is just a 3-minute walk from the accommodation. I loved. I recommend. I miss you already!

A lovely place to stay, less than 5 minutes walk from beautiful Charlie Beach (Haad Farang, Sunset Beach).We stayed in a very well maintained and spotlessly clean stone AC bungalow. From our balcony we could enjoy the lush surrounding garden. In the morning it was wonderful to wake up to the soothing sound of birds. There were also some monkeys jumping around and we even spotted hornbills in the trees right in front of our room.The site is spacious and very well looked after. Good breakfasts are served in the nice open restaurant, where also delicious dinners can be prepared. Try the mouthwatering steamed fish with mango sauce!Mookies Bungalows is run by a sympathetic team of (mainly) women. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Bicycles and motorcycles are available for rent and of course excursions to the not-to-be-missed Emerald Cave are on offer, as well as excellent massages. Transport to your further destination can be easily arranged here too.We found Mookies Bungalows to be the perfect place to explore the relaxing island of Koh Mook and even stayed longer than we had originally planned. Definitely would choose to stay here again on a next visit!

Very pleasant stay at Mookies, a simple but comfortable bungalow in a well-kept garden. Extreme kindness of the staff always ready to bet with customers. You feel like you’re at home or like you’re visiting friends!

We enjoyed four wonderful days at Mookies. The staff was extremely friendly and organized every trip we made. Also the food at the Restaurant was very delicious. Last but not least it is situated just a few minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches i ever saw.
