We only came here for a meal, which was decent. The fruit platter and juices were fresh and yummy. The view is absolutely beautiful, over the ocean and the surrounding cliffs - a rral Thai ocean view. The location is secluded but you'll be fine if you follow the road signs.

A hidden gem! Charming traditional style Thai bungalow looking over the beautiful Charlie beach and bay. If you have come for the beach and coastal views this is the place. Easy access to the beach. Stunning sunset. Restaurant belonging to resort is very close by so food and drink is readily available throughout the day. Bungalow is basic but clean and comfortable. Many sockets to charge phone. Kettle and coffee facilities in room. Warm water shower. Bed has mosquito net but we found we didn't need it (We stayed third week of January). We loved it here.

Very nice view, the bungalows have a wonderful terrace and are a little above the great beach. Good cuisine, drinks in the nice bar just below the restaurant, which offers a view over the beach. Sunbeds on the beach are free, you should just drink something. If you treat people with kindness, they are extremely warm

Very nice and unique view from the balcony!We stayed one night and felt like the bungalow is overpriced. Inside is spacious but doesn’t have more luxury compared to accommodations that are 20,- cheaper.We stayed at different (cheaper) accommodations as well and spend some nights at the beach bar downstairs which would give you the same vibe as staying in Koyao.In short; nothing wrong with accommodation and very nice view but a bit overpriced.

To be honest, I do not know where to begin. I will start by saying that the view from our bungalow was stunning and the beach next to te bungalow was very peaceful and quiet.Upon arrival for a stay of five nights we tried to check in. The staff barely spoke English.When we saw the bungalow we were disappointed immediately.The doors and windows don't open or close easily because they don't fit the frames. There are rusty locks on all the doors and windows. The bed I slept in had no blanket, only a silky sheet which I personally find unpleasant to sleep on in this tropic environment. At some point I actually got cold during the night because there was no blanket.The moskito net had holes in it and was very moldy. This affected my airways and I could not breath properly because of it.The room it self was very damp, this is probably because you also don't want to try and open a window here since you won't be able to close it anymore.There is no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. You will receive one roll of toiletpaper. Bring your own if you plan to stay here for a while.Don't count on any hot water when you take a shower.The food in the restaurant is no good and pricy. You can get much tastier and cheaper food from kind people elsewhere on the islandThe staff hangs around at the entrance all day. Smiles seem to hurt them, so don't expect any.The contrast to other restaurants and the staff from other accomodations is miles apart.We did not feel welcome here at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

If you make it to Charlie Beach, Koyao restaurant and bungalows are built into the cliffs on the right. Kind of steep stairs, but the view and ambience is great. Here you can go to sleep with the surf pounding, I didn't stay here, but I did watch a couple sunsets and eat here. Great view point!
