This was the 2nd time we have returned to the Riviera. Family trip with 2 children in February 2024, 9 nights. Family Room.Rooms: The rooms are not brand new but it is more than enough. The beds are very large. The bathroom is decent. The air conditioning is OK. The children are happy with the bunk beds.Location: The Riviera is ideally located less than a 5-minute walk from the center of Koh Mook. You can go through the beach to reach certain restaurants or go to the tip of the island. The place is extremely calm and relaxing. Yes, there are dogs, but like everywhere in Koh Mook, it is not a problem. Yes, you can sometimes hear the Muezzin in the morning, Koh Mook is a predominantly Muslim island. It may have woken me up once, it is really not a problem. And, even a plus, it means it is time to get up and go enjoy the island! There is a beautiful swimming pool with a sea view, but I prefer to enjoy the sea.The restaurant where we eat breakfast offers an incredible view of the sea and the coast. Having breakfast with your feet in the sand is great. The beach is clean. At low tide you can see millions of little red/orange crabs swarming on the sand, the children are amazed. In the trees, hornbills say hello. Magnificent. The sunrise on the beach is also superb to watch, the colors and the atmosphere are magical.Breakfast: The buffet is plentiful, with a lot of choice. It's really good and pleasant. The cook changes the menu regularly and it's always very good.Staff: The manager is always available to arrange a pick up, a tuk tuk or answer our questions. The staff is really nice and pleasant. Always a little word to know if everything is okay or to try to talk to the children. They are always available and smiling. The room is cleaned as soon as you ask for it.The Riviera is not the cheapest accommodation on the island, but one of the only ones that offers family rooms (there are only 2 other hotels with family rooms on Koh Mook, but the first is clearly less good and for the same price and the other is located in the jungle, very far from the center and is more expensive). To summarise, we love the Riviera, it has for us the best quality/price/location ratio

The accommodation is terrible. The room is dirty, the glass is cloudy, the bathroom door is broken and can't be closed. The legs of the bed are broken, the water flows slowly, the staff speak badly, if they ask anything they don't want to answer. Sitting and chatting, we booked 2 days. On the 2nd day, they refused to come clean but made the room to be checked in a new one. I don't recommend coming. The room doesn't match the description.🙅🏻‍♀️

To be honest, the staff at the hotel were careless about the breakfast and the staff were not very helpful. This trip was a very terrible experience and I would never go back again!

Beautiful nature, beautiful sea, but the resort is terrible, shabby, no mirrors in the rooms. It's only in the bathroom. It's mounted too high. You can see only the head. I guess I'll show it to foreigners (I'm 167 cm tall and that's all I can see). There are a lot of employees. But they don't care about customers. We just sit and talk, let alone the welcome drink. We just carry our bags and go to our rooms. I still have to follow them. Do you have children to help carry? The restaurant asked to buy anything but there was no ice, soda, water. Ordered fried rice with basil and still didn't have it. There aren't any popular menu items, only fried rice. The experience of traveling with a bad resort like this. Be diligent in finding time to travel. Once in a while, it's over.Come edit and answer more. I came back to drink at your resort after eating at 9:00-10:00 p.m. on the first day and 8:30-9:00 p.m. on the second day, not the whole night. And when we arrived, we didn't drink. We came to see nature, we didn't come to get drunk.
