This was our first accommodation in Thailand and “with” our best. The hosts are very friendly and have really built a very nice little resort with attention to detail. The garden in particular is beautifully designed, with many wonderful bromeliads and other plants. We really didn't miss anything and the two of them really took care of everything and gave us lots of good tips. The resort is located a little away from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai and also a little away from the main roads (so don't be afraid if you suddenly find yourself in the middle of nowhere and even the taxi drivers become unsure ;)). The two of them rented us a scooter so that we could get to the sights more easily.If you need peace and quiet and want to enjoy some nature, this is absolutely the right place for you. But since there aren't many restaurants within reach, I would recommend a rental car, scooter or the Grab app.PS: the house cat was very adorable :DAddendum: the area is rural and therefore the neighbors also have a rooster. It wasn't a problem for us villagers because we couldn't hear it that loudly. We were also warned about the neighbor's dogs, as they like to roam the area. I saw and heard you with us once at night. Otherwise it worked.

The best and most warming hospitality we’ve ever got from the host from the moment he came to greet us at night, a homemade and filling breakfast to our heartwarming send-off (P’Pop). Our stay was short but very sweet. The garden was magical and the house well-designed. We hope to return again next year.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend and would highly recommend it. The host (Pop) was so friendly, helped us book a moped, gave us recommendations for local food and activities. The property is absolutely stunning , with and incredible pool for cooling off on hot days. There’s also lots of coffee shops and restaurants easily accessible with a 5 min scooter ride

We've just had a second trip to Mai Nai Gardens. It's a fabulous place - spectacular main house and gardens, with a range of really pleasant lodges dotted throughout the estate. Pop and Ian are fabulous hosts, who will help you get the most out of the location, and welcomed everyone in.The pool is incredible. I went in twice most days!

If I could give even more stars, I would! Pop is such an incredibly friendly and accommodating host, helping us with recommendations of things to do, renting a motorbike, and connecting us with a wonderful driver for a day-trip to Doi Inthanon. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the room was spacious and super clean. If you’re looking for a place to stay just outside the city proper, do not hesitate one more second and just book it!

Mae Nai gardens is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Set just outside of chiang Mai, it offered us a peaceful escape while still providing plenty of dining options and activities in the local area. The grounds provide guests with complete serenity - it’s the kind of place you go to completely switch off. The pool and gardens are stunning, you feel completely connected to the Thai countryside staying here.The accommodation consists of self contained villas, tastefully decorated and set in the beautiful gardens which the owners pour so much love in to. Wonderful welcoming hosts who made our stay perfect. Breakfast was also lovely - I could not recommend this place enough!

The Mae Nai Gardens are one of the best accomodations we ever been to. We arrived and directly felt like friends - not like guests. The owner Pop is such a lovely person and is doing everything to make his guests happy. The whole place feels like paradise! Especially the pool and breakfeast area and the countless tropical plants around are so special and unique. We will definitely come again to this hidden gem. Thanks Pop for everything!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property in Mae Rim. Right from the moment we arrived, we were treated with such a warm and personalised service from owners Pop and Ian. The rooms are so cosy and comfortable, and I loved the rustic, tasteful decor. The private breakfast nook is right by the pool and you get fresh fruits with eggs and toast, along with French press coffee - everything was delicious!Just take note that the location is slightly off the track so it might be hard to get around especially at night. In the daytime, though, we could Grab around mostly.

Mae Nai Gardens is a perfect accommodation if you are looking to stay near Chiang Mai, in a quieter place, surrounded by nature. The bungalows are scattered throughout a magnificent garden, filled with trees and flowers. If you want to relax you don't even have to step out of the terrace of the bungalow. Just stay on the terrace, admire the different shades of green in the garden, the beautifully coloured birds that fly from tree to tree and listen to their songs. Or you can get to the pool and lay in the sun.On a more practical note, the owner, Pop is an amazing host. He is very helpful and does his best to make your stay here a pleasant experience. The bungalows are spacious and the rooms are clean.

A magnificent garden sanctuary set in the most beautiful sculpted yet natural landscape. Each tree and plant is to be admired and explored. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and road noise, deeply nested in the countryside overlooking the nearby hills and rice fields. So peaceful, tranquil, it is the perfect place to disconnect and experience true country life in Chiang Mai. This doesn’t feel like a hotel, there is no lobby, none of that usual infrastructure, you will simply stay in cottage in full nature. Many amazing trails can be walked from here. Accommodation is arranged in a small number of cute private cottages in a traditional style. They are spread across the grounds so you have full privacy and sense of seclusion. Fall asleep to the gentle sound of the jungle and wake up by the chirping of birds. The pool is the most a beautiful spot surrounded by palms and small salas. This is also where breakfast is served. The hosts are incredibly kind and attentive, making sure that our stay was perfect. There is a good choice of local restaurants nearby. We will definitely return.
