Spotted this online while doing the Mae Hong Son 🛵 loop.. it's exactly what I wanted. Set around a rice field, the huts are basic but perfect.. a real natural vibe. I can't recommend enough. Cafe area has hammocks and is perfect for meeting people. Loved it.

The atmosphere is like sleeping in a rice field. There is no hot water, no TV.For people who like a rustic atmosphere, this place is good, but traveling a bit far makes it difficult to find things to eat. I recommend you come prepared.

This place is exactly what you can expect from a hill tribe village homestay. Beautiful rooms done sustainably to their values, food served on order with traditional Thai style…. Plus you get to enjoy fresh organic drip coffee every morning and enjoy slow living. For less than $15 per night this is a 10 star place.It’s about 50km out of city and you can truly enjoy the beautiful countryside on the way to here. Plus you’ll be staying 30min away from Doi inthanon.If anyone looking to get away from city life, reconnect with them and nature this is the place to visit. I love it so much I’ve decided to move here.The host and her family is very helpful with recommendations and facility. They also encourage us learn to down and enjoy the moment. I think we get so conditioned to be entitled and demanding we forget how to see life as it is and enjoy the moment.If you choose to come for a night or two, come and say hi. You’ll most probably find me in Homestay cafe or at my house doing my coaching work. Maybe I’ll show you around the village….

A completely different reality compared to the photos on Booking. The only positive was the price. The breakfast was very poor, the accommodation was in the middle of nowhere.

Affordable rooms Homestay style There are both wooden houses and cement houses, cold weather (no water heater), rice field views. There is a telephone signal. But the wifi doesn't reach. The entrance is quite a bit further along the main road. Breakfast must cost additional money. At first I was told that in the morning you could come and eat it (omelet rice). I was confused as well.

It gets cold at night, it was 15 degrees in the bungalow during our stay. The bungalows have neither heating nor hot water in the shower. This is not mentioned when booking on Agoda. If this was clear when booking, it wouldn't be a problem, then you could adjust to it or just book something else. Not mentioning such important details on booking platforms is not possible.

We came late with confirmed Agoda booking. The owners sent us with stuff to see our room… and tried to sell already paid room But of a worse quality. After 15 very confused minutes with discussion- we’ve seen our room. In the middle of forest, without hot shower. So called “mountain view”.It was late and we decided to eat. We ordered only fried rice and French fries. So, after 40 minutes there is no food. Maybe it’s very difficult meal? We’ve decided to leave that customer friendly house, despite of paid booking. I just leaves the keys on the table and got to Chiangmai.The owners don’t care at all about their customers and more interested in getting drunk at that moment.

Very basic accommodation but if you look at the price you can expect it . This place is for you when you don’t mind going back to basic and the middle of nowhere. If you don’t expect any luxury you might like the place. We found it very cold in the morning and evening (February) and decided to stay one night instead of two to recharge from the Mae Hong Son Loop in a more luxury hotel with warm water. The Elephant Village is really nice closeby

Amazing place. 10/10!! Such a beautiful quiet spot away from the business of tourists and the city. What makes this place special is you will really get an experience of living the culture of the area, as opposed to a usual touristy experience. And you can still visit elephants and go to waterfalls! A must do.

I gave it 4 stars because of the beautiful location and the very comfortable sleep I had. I love the mosquito net as it guarantees me a peaceful sleep. I still ended up killing a dozen mosquitoes just in case.What I don't understand, at all, is how there is no hot water in the shower?! The location is up in the mountains so it gets really cold during the night. I've been to other places that had no hot water but those were all tropical islands. I really don't get it in this situation.So because of that I would definitely not recommend this place for a long stay.

Beautiful experience. You definitely need to arrive aware of the place, if you want something comfortable and luxurious don't come here. If, however, you are looking for a simple place, surrounded by nature, spartan but with taste then this is the right place for you!There is no hot water and the bathroom is not completely closed so you have to be careful of mosquitoes.It's great in the bedroom! The mosquito net is absolutely effective and the cold and humidity of the night do not cause any discomfort thanks to the extra blanket next to the bed. Once you get used to the thousand sounds of nature you will sleep very well!The room is really very simple and there is some space between the wooden floorboards.

If you want to connect with the locals, visit the village and recharge your soul this is the perfect place. It can get cold at night but a blanket is available and the people who run the place are super helpful and kind. Excellent food!
