This riverside spot is a hidden gem. Inside, the cozy atmosphere is enhanced by charming decor and a piano. My first trip to Bang kachao. Won't be the last :) A lovely place to dine, wine and unwind. Have a cool in the giant pool and enjoy the sunset views of the city.

Perfect place for relax nearby BKK. Convenient transportation. It seem artist community for therapy by music and community to take positive energy each others. Food was excellent!

Poor service, old hotel, no breakfast. The owner has a very bad nature. You should have your father teach you again. Decayed manners Request a refund of the package fee. Because of an emergency at home Use an angry tone of voice. Plus if you don't laugh and say something nice, you'll die.

I love this place and want to come back as soon as I can. Everything was perfect, it’s close to Bangkok but feels like a world away. The pool and pier are beautiful, rooms are great and the owner is the coolest person ever. Can’t wait to come back and play some more music there!

Artrra villa was the perfect place for us to arrive in bangkok with a more quiet, nature based space to recover from our long travel and to really immerse ourselves into the culture, the food and the energy of Thailand. We love to explore new places by foot. Or by bike and this island is the perfect place to do so. You can take your time, stop and revel. At the beautiful plants, temples and people as you pass along .close to the center And heart of busy Bangkok lies this peaceful island with fresh air, cool pool to swim in amaxing local host to share time and space with. The view from the top at sunrise and sunset make for a lovely yoga practice or romantic and peaceful time with your beloved.

Went to eat in the whole restaurant, there was only our table, but we waited almost 30 minutes for our food. The service was very slow, the food was average in taste, the quantity was very small compared to the price. Price and quantity of food are not consistent.

Outstanding!This was my first trip to Thailand from USA. I was worried I would be exhausted from the length of the travel to get here so having a place to come that would allow for a slow start to our trip was ideal.All of the communications I had with Art through email/facebook/whatsapp worked out exactly as promised, he provided suggestions on how to get to the hotel from the airport, taking a taxi to the property rather than messing with the ferries and boats - this was the right move (I would probably use Grab (much like Uber) next time).I saw ARTTRA Villa on a YouTube video and was intrigued. The restaurant, pool, boardwalk, were splendid. They are beautifully cared for. The pool was warm and clean, partly shaded partly sunny!The biggest downside of Arttra Villa was how great the food was! It left little reason to leave the property to go try other places. The prices were reasonable, service was good, had a few different beers, some wine, and full bar.Art also arranged a tour around the area for us to see a local market, a temple, and a very pretty park near by.I can't thank Art enough for his hospitality, the stories he shared, and the time and energy he provided my wife and I.The attached photo was a sunrise from the roof top patio.

TOUR OF THE GREEN LUNG: The always-personable Art, owner/manager of this scenic and charming hotel, took my family on an outstanding 5-hour tour of the island. Fond memories all round! We were picked up directly from the ferry pier that side at 3pm (we left from Wat Kloeng Toey Pier), and driven to a cafe for some very proper coffee and ice cream, before heading to the temple for a blessing from the monks and cathartic gong bashing. Spiritually renourished, we left for the local arboretum to stroll through lush jungle, enjoy the bird-song (great around 5pm) and build an appetite. The day rounded out at the charming Arttra Villa, with sunset views, a feast of Thai and Chinese food classics, decent red wine, and fine live music (from Art... not short on talent). Hard to ask for much more, and absolutely worth the tour price. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I did not sleep here. we stopped to have a cool drink during the bike ride visiting this part of Bangkok that we didn't know. The owner who speaks good English was immediately welcoming. A Coke and a very blonde sparkling Passion Fruit that I had never drunk before! Very good!!!!! We chatted with him by the pool and then he took us up to the rooftop for a view of the city! A thousand thanks!

This place has the best rooftop on bang Kachao. Best views over Bangkok skyline at sunset, and I’m surprised not so many people know about it.

The host is wonderful, flexible to your needs and ensures all guests are happy and comfortable.The pool has a wonderful view of BKK skyline and the dining hall/reception area is spacious.The food is good and the staff will ensure that everyone is satisfied by offering various Thai dishes, cooked fresh.There are soi dogs that stay at the villa, worth a mention as it is pet friendly so be mindful if you are taking your pet. They are controlled and fairly friendly.

Art is an amazing host. We just came for dinner, not staying in the villa. We asked him to make us something that he likes from the menu and we were not disappointed. He cooked up glass noodles with lots of fresh veggies, so tasty. This is the only place on the island to find wine. We had a live music performance from Art and some of his band mates and at the end of the night he insisted on driving us back to our room as it was very dark. Unforgettable memories. Will go back again and again.
