If you are looking for a few good nights of sleep, this is indeed not the place, as you can expect before you book. The room is above the bar which is on the beach with beautiful views. The staff are helpful and do their best to ensure everyone has a nice evening. They host drinking games every night, perfect for solo travelers and groups of friends. I think the price is the lowest you can find on the island so it makes sense that they are not 5-star rooms.

Do not go to this hostel if you want to rest.Music so loud untill 3 am. The most dirty bathrooms i saw ( outside the bedroom).The beds are like a dominican jailroom.If you're looking for a party place, IS your sute.

Incredibly loud music until 4 in the morning, dirty room with super hard bed, people vomiting and shouting until the wee hours of the morning, the air conditioning on without being able to regulate it, of the 10 of us in the room all sleeping with a blanket and with clothes on because of the cold it was. It's not a hostel, it's a party place with beds. The worst hostel I have ever been to without a doubt

Not recommended, to begin with they have blaring music until 5 in the morning and they give you earplugs so you can hear everything anyway, the air is so low that you get sick, you have to sleep in long sleeves, to make matters worse I asked for a dry towel Because of mine, he got wet on an excursion and they asked me for 50 bats, in the end cheap is expensive

If you're looking for a social hostel Blanco is the perfect spot for you. In all my travels I've never been to a more fun place to live than here. I'm a solo traveler and I almost didn't go to this hostel because of some of the negative reviews but I'm here to say they're WRONG. Let me give my 3 reasons why this is the best hostel on the island1 The workers are so invested into making every single day and night a party. The fun never stops if you just participate in all of the different hostel events (beer pong, boat tour, bar crawl). Thank you Andrew, Jess, Jimena, Emily, and everyone else!2 The other people staying there are also just trying to meet people and have a good time. I've never been so successful at making so many friends in such a short time than at Blanco3 The price. You're paying $6/day not only to have somewhere to sleep and shower, but also to be surrounded by fun all day and all night!Some people comment that it's loud or has too much sand. Yes it's loud at night and that's because they are providing fun events for YOU. Yes there's sand and that's because it's right on the BEACH. If you're a young and fun person I couldn't imagine a better hostel to stay at. #TeamBlacno

Do yourselves a favor and don't go there. Noise, shouting and music until 4am, dirt everywhere, no lockers or any place to put your things, not enough bathrooms and showers for so many people, and they are uncomfortable and dirty. And even though the location is in front of the sea, the beach is one of the least beautiful and clean in Phi Phi. I stayed one night and the next morning I fled, I went to the Blanco Central Hostel which I recommend 100%.

Very aggressive behaviour from the manager. He not only shouted at me but also stood up to me as if he was going to punch me. He scared me and behaved very disrespectfully. I've never experienced anything like it and I hope that no other girl has to feel like that.

View was excellent, but the sea there is extremely rocky. Service is top notch as you get free shots, they even come into your room, very fun if you like to party. Next to a fire show in the evenings, excellent spot.

Stayed here for one night with my 3 friends. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We attended the club crawl on the Friday night and it was great craic! We thought Maria was super friendly and helpful. She really made sure we were all having a good time! We would definitely recommend Blanco.

If you want to sleep? Don’t go here. They play so loud music all night, and there is no isolation, so it sounds like you are laying in the middle of the dance floor. Good luck trying to get any sleep here
