Great retro hotel. For BTS travelers, there are few hotels in a better location. It takes less than a minute to walk to BTS National Stadium Station. This station is the starting and ending station, making it the most convenient place to go anywhere.Wi-Fi is slow depending on the time of day, but when it's early it's fast enough. This seems to be due to the number of simultaneous users. There is also a restaurant on the first floor (ground floor). I didn't try it this time, but people who work nearby come here for lunch, so I guess the taste is not bad. Lunch is 70-80 baht. Both the building and the rooms have a retro feel, which I like very much, but it may not be suitable for people who want a modern, clean hotel. There was a bathtub, but there was no hot water. I didn't check because it wasn't a particular problem, but some rooms may have hot water.I really liked the hotel and will probably stay there again next time, but there is one problem. The location of the shower is very strange. The shower holder is installed at about waist height for an adult, and combined with the shower head, it doesn't come in a comfortable position even if you are sitting on your knees or crouching down. Only the shower was a little difficult. But that's what I was concerned about.I was a little worried about the noise before I stayed because it was in front of the BTS station, but inside the hotel, no matter what time it was, it wasn't a problem. quiet. The air conditioner and refrigerator cool well.Of course, the receptionist is not as friendly as a 5-star hotel, but they are pleasant and do everything you need. There are no food stalls in front of the hotel, but there are 7-Eleven and McDonald's nearby. MBK is also nearby, so you can eat there. If you want to eat at a street food stall, you can do so near BTS Ratchathevi Station, Lotus Rama I Road store, or Banthatn Road.Added (2024.05.28);Stayed again. It's still wonderful. This time I stayed on the 5th floor, which is exactly the same height as the BTS station platform. It's a very nice and interesting view, but depending on the location of the room, it may be difficult to open the curtains during the day because you can see everything from the other side.Last time there was no hot water in the bath, but this time I was able to use it without any problems. Hot water comes out well. Even if you fill the bathtub with hot water, there is no chance that the hot water will stop flowing halfway through, and the water will always be hot.The location of the shower is still unique, but if you don't mind washing outside of the bathtub, it's fine. The refrigerator is old but cools well. As was the case last time, it is difficult to adjust the temperature, and once you cool it strongly, it will remain strongly cold even if you turn down the intensity. In that case, you can adjust it to some extent by stopping the operation and restarting it again at a weaker setting. Still, I think it's better to get cold well than not to get cold at all.Rooms will be cleaned and towels and sheets changed daily if necessary. If you don't need it, just hang a tag on the door and it won't bother you at all. All the staff work hard. He's not overly friendly, but if you tell him what you need, he'll do the right thing. It is conveniently located not only for BTS but also for bus and ferry transportation, including the west direction (towards the Grand Palace), pink and green Khao Mangai (Pratunam), Bang Sue Station (from there take the Red Line to Don Mueang Airport), etc. It's a perfect location with easy access to everywhere you go.I don't want it to become too popular because it would be a problem if it became popular and the prices went up, but for me, everything is the best hotel in Bangkok.
