170 per night, no blankets or towels provided, 1800 per month, shared bathroom not clean. There are only foreigners, Burmese, Cambodians, foreigners, renting rooms and refusing to give receipts, like they're trying to evade taxes. Cheap price, otherwise not impressed.

One of those places that you would have to be paid to stay in. It's an old, dirty, run-down local house with primitive facilities (squat toilet, bucket of cold water or pipe from ceiling for shower). The price is about the same as a middling hostel but the hostel at least will be cleaner and have a normal bathroom. The owner is a bit crazy and while he seems to care it only adds to the creepy atmosphere. The location is also very dreary, some kind of grubby working class neighborhood far from anywhere of interest and a long bus ride to get out. Some other reviews gush about the 'authentic, local' color this adds but there are better ways to do this than staying in the butt-crack of town.

Seriously, after reading the reviews and the atmosphere I encountered, I was suspicious, but when I looked carefully, there would be elderly people in this house. Bedridden patients, disabled people, and there will be only one old uncle waiting to receive customers. Let's just say that Glace House is probably the main source of income here. If you think with a charitable heart Helping fellow human beings has gained merit and helped each other. The room was okay to sleep in, the price was cheap, and there were drinks and beer for sale. The price is the same as 7-11.

If you are not looking for a fancy place, and you don't focus exclusively on the same old central spots in town, then this is an excellent option, for a great price, in a very interesting area, and with a very kind and helpful service by the host. If you don't mind taking some bus, you'll even find out that it's actually pretty well connected, just a few meters away from 2 bus stops that can take you pretty much everywhere in town. There are also good street food options in walking distance, as well as the Indy Market, at night, not to be missed. Definitely a great place to discover another face of the city.

Very nice owner who helps with all concerns and takes great care of his guests. Authentic Thai accommodation far away from the tourist crowds in Bangkok. A top accommodation considering the price-performance ratio. I'd love to come back Mr. Anurak!

Ultra cheap budget room, friendly and helpful owner, location is on the Thonburi side but it's interesting to be in a more local surrounding... across the street a Big C supermarket, and an easy walk also to Indy nightmarket...if you need …

I stayed there as a trial stay because it was cheap and I thought it would be interesting to write about it on my blog. THB 341.88 for 1 night was a bargain.Even though the room had a fan and no air conditioning (of course), it was hellishly hot. It was hard to sleep because there were no windows, so I think it would be better for me to spend a little more money and stay in a nicer room. However, it should be fine during the cooler months.

Nice budget place with friendly owner. If you are on a low budget, that's the right place for you. There is a feeling like you are staying in the house, not in the hotel. You can have breakfast and buy beers for the same price as in 7/11.

Anurak (the owner) is such an kind host. He is speaking Englisch very well and was always very helpful an caring.If you are looking for an alternative to the backpacker hostels and touristic area, this is your place to stay and experience a different Bangkok.It's a great value for this nightly rate.
