I’ve never met a more egregious, horrendous, and distasteful owner. I rate places based on my 5-star or 1-star experience of the location, as I believe anything in between can be damaging to a business and I would not like to do that to anywhere, let alone a family business. I’ve been to many scetchy and undesirable places since backpacking the past 6 months, and have travelled some “adventurous”, or rather, questionable journeys. However, the manner that awaited me was despicable, deplorable and down right nasty. To shout at a customer coming in the door is disgusting and not good business. I actually can’t fathom in what world the owner of this “establishment” thinks it’s okay to talk to people in such demeaning tone and expect to get business. Deplorable behaviour and the 1 and only place in my 6 months travelling south east Asia that serves a 1-star rating. Shame on you owner.

The service was great. Special thanks to the owner who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Less than a 10 min walk to the full moon party. Close to good restaurants, the sea and 7/11. Only downside is the toilets and showers being a floor below the rooms. Would stay here again! It was an enjoyable stay.

I came to the hostel because I was a customer of the restaurant that was actually really tasty and really good, than I booked three nights of the hostel, and it was horrible.. there wasn’t hot water, the service was poor, and the worst when I talked to the owner he was rasist to me and talked about my origin, when I asked in advance to leave the hostel he refused to give me back my money… not recommended at all stay away from this place ….

The service was just terribleWe had a real room in the first room because there was an opening in the wall through which insects enter (without a simple blocker)So we upgraded a room that costs 1.5 times which is a little beyond our budgetThe second we came to shower we heard a mouse and then we saw eyesWe asked for a solution and there was complete disregard from the manager, she did answer the phone at a late hour, but did not find us any patronConcrete when it's half past 1 in the morning and we don't have a place to sleep...Finally we found a place in the adjacent hotel (which is beyond the budget but without choice because it's really late)Definitely not recommend

I stayed here with some friends for 4 nights over new year. There was dead cockroaches everywhere, the bathrooms are dirty and they smell bad. …

I stayed during the full moon so it was a bit pricier than that what I am accustomed for a dorm in Thailand, but the location was worth it. The dorm is good and has curtains. There was free instant coffee and tea at all times, and a free bucket (+paint) during the full moon party. The staff was friendly !

I was there during the full moon, it was really cool because it’s super close to the entrance so it’s easy to find when you’ve had too much to drink 😂The staff is super nice! It was cool!
