Phenomenal food and beautiful property. Meals alone are worth the stay. Luxurious and exclusive. View from the property is spectacular. Howie and Jerry are also great hosts - they care about their guests and go out of their way to make guests feel home.

I'm not one much for reviews- I have done maybe 20 total in the history of the internet. With that- I stayed at Howie's Homestay 7 years ago, for our honeymoon and was so impressed with literally everything that I left him a 5 star review, and intended to return ever since. I finally made my way back 2 months ago (and will yet again ). As I'd already left an excellent review last time I didn't feel the need to post another...Then I saw someone gave Howie a bad review, based in large measure upon their supposed interactions with Howie. Upon reading I was blown away- 2 stars? First and foremost, Howie is hands-down the most congenial host I've ever experienced. Jerri's food is world class- the khao soi and the tamarind shrimp she created this time were especially amazing. All the amenities are incredible, and Howie left no stone unturned as a fantastic concierge.The bottom line: if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. I will plan to return again and again. The accusations made against Howie in that 1 amateurish review (versus the 99% of accumulated 5-star reviews) are so unbelievable it's comical. I really despise the world of internet trolls. Howie, Jerri, the staff, even the lovely dogs have always treated us as family, with the utmost respect and kindness. So much so, I'd have no issue speaking directly to anyone who has questions or concerns....

This is a unique deluxe boutique resort designed inside and out by Bill Bensley. The resort is exclusive and only accepts one party at a time.

Howie's Homestay is an amazing experience. We stayed 6 nights this Dec for a family vacation. This was the BEST vacation yet. Howie made our vacation seamless. Everyone enjoyed the day extrusions, all coordinated by Howie & his staff. The meals are an experience & all made by Howie's wife, Jerri. The home you have all to yourself & every part of the property & gardens have wonderful views. We will definitely return!Thank you to Howie, Jerri & their staff for an amazing family vacation!

Just great !! The complex has everything, and if you don’t find something, the owner will definitely help you. Very, very warm welcome, you feel at home. The owner's wife prepares dishes that are tastier and more beautiful than any restaurant in Chiang Mai. I highly recommend it, everything is top notch!!!
