The location is great but the rest is the worst. The price is cheap, but the value is other than the price. After all, I've stayed at hotels in many countries and the service was so bad. I made a reservation for a family of three, but we were shown to a room for two and slept on a cot in a storage room. You have to wait from the time you check in until you leave the room. There were very few lighting fixtures. There is Wi-Fi, but it's almost impossible to connect. I will definitely not stay there next time

I was leary staying here after reading the reviews and glad I stayed. Yes the hotel is old but not run down. We stayed on the 10th floor and everything works, no stains on carpet, no wobbling table. I swear if people do not want to stay here then go stay at the Hilton or something of that caliber. Just like in Vegas you stay to sleep and go out and explore. Joe the porter was helpful, staff is friendly and attentive.

Cons: It is moldy and needs renovation and cleaningAnd for the buffet, we pay for breakfast. The last thing is that all breakfast is baked goods in its place, but it is nice and close to everything

The aunt who received the card at the exit looked like she never welcomed guests. Her face was grim and her face was crooked every time she came. and will not extend his hand to receive the card. The male receptionist and the security guard in front of the lobby were extremely possessive of parking, even though there was no one parking the car.

‼️WARNING‼️ Old bellhop may try to mess with you.First time here and had already prebooked 2 stays (I would be traveling around Thailand so would stay here at start & at finish of this trip). I had come straight from the airport. The front staff were super nice and very helpful. They took my bags, my jacket and I was able to immediately run off to the boat cruise that I was worried I would be late to. I got to the cruise which was organized by the tour company inside the hotel.First time on a motorcycle - and in Thailand.I got back pretty late, went to the desk and got my jacket, another bag and they had an older bellman help me to my room. His English was quite good. . . Good enough to start immediately asking me a lot of very personal questions. He instantly determines and says he "likes me", and more ... (longest elevator ride ever) ... we get to the floor, door opens, I grab my bag, I am speed walking to trying to find and get to my room door, he keeps up, AND comes into my room when I undo the lock with the key card. "Do you have Whatsapp number? When can I see you next as my shift is off at 7am? What day you come back to the hotel ... I really like you (yeah you said that already).. . then starts singing. The meanwhile I am frantically digging through my purse trying to find my cell phone while he is doing all this IN MY ROOM with the door shut. My phone had fallen into the bottom of a shopping bag. Why was I focused on my phone instead of kicking him out? I had briefly fallen asleep in the cab and was MORE terrified I might I have dropped it in the cab. I find my phone - THERE IS A FRAUD CHARGE WARNING on my screen (I'll get to that) he is STILL SINGING creepy Eagles' Hotel California - in my room. I had responded "California" to his initially question "Where you from?" in the lobby during the long wait for the elevator to show up.Ok Got phone. "GET OUT".He immediately leaves - I lock up. It's past midnight. I have not slept since 5am SYDNEY TIME and a few moments in the cab ride. First time in Bangkok. So I block the door with a chair and try to get ready for checking out in the morning. This hotel is definitely waaaaay older and shows with absolutely everything. Can't speak to how clean - at this point "clean" was not a priority item. Bed not right - uncomfortable, hard and weird which at this point, of course. There were outlets but they were so old and in such weird places that whatever plug used kind of falls out of the outlet. OK now I am having to get my phone & laptop plugs in (nowhere near the bed) and use items I have and items I find in the room to prop up and support the plugs staying into the outlets (there are Buddhist books in a drawer that help). I did not sleep much though totally exhausted. You want to be terrified by an old guy (60-70s) at night forcing himself into your odd layout, weirdly old, dimly lit room. Then this is the place. I had other problems to deal with that night as a shop had charged me 38,000 Baht for a scarf in stead of the 3,800 Baht I understood. The safe feeling about Thailand I had when I stepped off the plane had been replaced by a lot of grossness. I needed that safe feeling supported and reiterated - not this mess. I left the next day for Phuket after dealing with the hell process of returning the scarf and of course canceling my 2nd stay at this hotel through my app. I did not waste time talking to hotel about the Old Man - it would just be more time gone. It had been a rough and dramatic in the wrong way 1st 18 hours in Bangkok.
