You can also get anywhere cheaply with the taxis that are in front of the hotel.To the next larger town with the market: 200 BthCoconut Beach: 300BthElephant Home: 300bthWaterfall: 400BthSo you can go on great trips for less than 10 euros.The breakfast is great, everything is there.At lunch and dinner you get a menu from which you can choose your food and it will be brought to you.For half and full board this is up to a maximum of 750 Bth and for children 500 Bth, but you never use it.However, would I choose full or half board? Because you can save money.There are many restaurants outside that can be reached in 3 to 10 minutes on foot and are tasty and inexpensive. And you also see more of the surrounding area and you can have a lot more variety, as the menu for half board is relatively small.And if you do want to eat at the hotel, you can do so without any problems.But it's cheaper if you save on half board.In addition, some European foods don't taste the way you're used to. I would recommend sticking with the Thai/Asian dishes when ordering.Drinks and food are also cheaper outside than in the hotel.The staff is very friendly and always smiling. However, most of them only know a little English and only a few words of German, but they still manage to communicate.The rooms are big and really nice.However, it is not very soundproof and I think there is not enough storage space in the room. There were 3 of us and we had to use 2 suitcases open on the sofas. All rooms or bungalows are woven into nature so that you have a peaceful feeling. Everywhere you can find nice little places on the grounds that you can visit and relax. Many books are also available so you can read something briefly. Also in different languages ​​but most in English.There is also a smoking area, with chairs with a beautiful view and books and magazines. However, the chairs are not very comfortable and there is a toilet right next to them, so if you are unlucky you will hear beautiful singing.Always only smoke in designated areas or make sure that there are no bans where you smoke.In a taxi, for example, there is a fine of 5000bth if you smoke. (It's written on signs)Otherwise there were no problems with Iqos or such devices, many people smoked, and nothing was said against it in the restaurant.Both pools are very nice, but the one at BandariResort is not as quiet as the other. The pool at the Oriental Resort is much quieter because children are not allowed there and there are fewer people lying there because you can go straight into the water from the rooms. That's why visitors lie on their own private terraces instead of on a shared terrace.Things that struck me negatively:Hot water was sometimes not available and you can't regulate the water very well.Another negative thing was the towels.We had to have them changed almost every day because even when we got fresh ones, they still smelled. I don't know if no detergent is used or if they were even washed.A lot of Germans come to visit (at least when we were here) so you can also talk to other guests and make friends.All in all a nice hotel that is worth the price. It's in a nice location and you can really relax. Nevertheless, for me it's a 4 star and not a 5 star hotel, hence the 4 star rating.Thank you for reading (:

We absolutely enjoyed our vacation at the Oriental Resort! The rooms were spacious, clean und comfy. We definitely recommend going for the Deluxe Pool Access rooms.
