A beautiful old hotel, the best value for money on the entire island - an excellent 4 star room for a little more than a bamboo bungalow. No people, relaxation and a full breakfast. The pool is just for you. The food is delicious and at the same time the cost is lower than in the cafes on the pier. I really liked it, despite the fact that the hotel is abandoned and some pavilions are currently under renovation. I recommend, for their price you won't find anything better.

Tacola resort has undergone major changes over the years. The first change is that they opened the resort up to Chinese tour groups in response to slowing Western Guests frequenting the hotel. Slowing Western Guests seemingly was a bi- product of the slowly deteriorating condition of the resort and lack of international marketing and customer service expertise. The resort basically operates at a level now where Bulk, budget Chinese tour operators are the main customers for this resort which undoubtably further contributed to almost a decade of downward spiral where Western Guests are concerned.Big investment dollars would have to be sunk into this resort if they wish to bring back Western Guest Market and they totally need a Western Management team to sort out this pit they have fallen into. Even then it may be too late.If you are a budget Chinese tour operator then this resort is a fantastic option. If you are a Western FIT ( fully independent traveler) think things through as you most probably can get a good deal to stay here but then sometimes price is not everything and neither is the resort.

Understaffed and rundown facilities. A pack of wild dogs roam this place day and night. Barks and fights broke out throughout the nights. Stay away!!!||||My family booked 2 rooms for 3 nights for 12/20/2018 to 12/23/2018.  …
