Terrible hotelWhen we arrived our bungalow was dirty and the doors were crooked so any animals could wander in and out. After we complained, we got a new bungalow, which was cleaner, but the front door wasn't completely lockable.We also didn't like the daily cleaning as the bed linen was old and stained and wasn't changed. In addition, there were always complications with the towels, as some of them smelled and were stained. The cleaning ladies didn't know a single word of English, so it was impossible to communicate with them. My partner and I are both blonde and yet we kept finding black hair on the floor (from the cleaners).We traveled in August/September, not during the season, and therefore read the hotel description carefully, which in the end was not complete. The beach was absolutely dirty and wasn't cleaned in the entire two weeks we were there. So it was not possible to walk on the beach. There was also only a tiny selection at breakfast. Since I'm a vegetarian, I could only eat eggs and watermelon since everything else had meat. There was no Nutella, cream cheese or anything else.There was a pond or small river on the site in which there were lots of fish. However, the water was so dirty that you could only see the fish when they looked out of the water. We noticed that the fish looked very hungry and asked reception if they were being fed. The answer we got was that we could buy fish food ourselves and feed them because no one else would take care of them. Isn't that animal abuse?One day there was no electricity, another day there was no water, and yet another there was a fire alarm to test. When we complained about all the things, I was supposed to sign something shortly before leaving that said I couldn't say anything negative about the hotel. Of course I didn't sign it because it was the worst hotel I've ever been in.

Beautiful hotel with 3 pools embedded in a tropical garden.Quiet in the summer months. In some cases there is a lack of consistent maintenance at the pool or the bungalows. Staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast in the summer months is very clear due to the few guests.At the beginning the beach was full of wood and various rubbish. It was only after a few days that the beach was completely cleaned in a concentrated effort.A nice place for families.

We stayed in the Deluxe Pool Villa for 5 nights. The resort is in 2 sections.The front section has beach frontage with a pool and restaurant, the back section with is set individually amongst garden with a large pool with water slide and playground for children, then another pool for adults only.Buffet breakfast selection has a variety of options to select from.The villa was very spacious with your own private pool with 2 spa jets. Whilst the main pools closed at 6pm, we could continue to use your own private pool. With warm nights it was lovely being able to cool off later in the evening. Our room was provided with 2 beach towels. We had a small private courtyard with an outdoor shower. Our villa had a split system air-con for easy control of temperature. The bathroom was also spacious with a large bath, separate shower and toilet, and vanity area. Villa was serviced each day. The bed whilst firm, but wasn't too uncomfortable. In all our Thailand and Asia travels, beds do typically tend to be in the firm side.The resort is located just a short walk to and from the main street, so it was very tranquil.There are plenty of choices on main street for food options. Bring the low season (July), they were renovating areas of the resort, but we didn't find it overly disturbing. We would very happily stay here again.

As of 2019, it is not managed by Centara Group, so I don't know why it is called Centara Sea View.By my standards, it is one of the most cost-effective resorts in Khao Lak, and if you look at the number of nights I stayed during my trip to Khao Lak, it is a place where I stayed for more than 200 nights.The first advantage is the swimming poolThe second advantage is the good conditions for swimming and the lighthouse.The third advantage is the spacious hotel grounds and beach that are great for walking.The fourth advantage is that since it is located in Khao Lak Center, there are many things to eat and drink nearby.The downside is that since it is an old resort, the interior of the rooms is old and the exteriors are similar.And unlike when it was managed by Sentara, it needs consistent maintenance overall, but in my humble opinion, I feel sad that it has been neglected during the corona period.Also, the difference in management such as breakfast between peak season and off-season, which was not noticeable in the past, has increased significantly.Overall, if it is maintained well, I think it will receive good reviews and many customers like before, even in the off-season, because it has spacious rooms, a nice pool and beach, a good location, and good value for money.

Pro:- nearby a good beach break- friendly staff- good price / quality ratioCon:- might be outdated for some people- no taxi or shuttle service, only to airport- bar at pool opens at 11:00, a bit late for that second coffee- level of English of staff could be improved.Perfect place to either have a family holiday or to have a surf holiday, or even better, the two combined ;) the beach break is in front of the hotel and easily accessible with small but decent waves.The hotel has a nice pool overlooking the beach and the rooms are big. Sure, no fancy stuff and it might be a bit outdated, but we didn’t mind as it was nice enough and clean.The breakfast is good if you like thai food and eggs, so good enough for us.The staff is super super friendly! Juan, you’re the best operation manager and we hope your hard work is also seen by management!Recommendations for management:It would be good if some staff members could improve their English.Also a quick win: have a shuttle/taxi service for guests.

A hotel that must have been nice once, but which is now run down and really needs renovation.Good breakfast, but when the Russians shamelessly put a lot of food in their bags to take with them to the beach, it quickly runs out of things.Nice location and pleasant bungalows with private pool.

Unfortunately, the average to poor reviews are accurate here. Arrived this morning and booked a villa with a private pool. Very friendly reception in the lobby and the suitcases were brought to the room. The room …. In short, big, musty, shabby and unfortunately also dirty. After a complaint, the pool and bathroom were cleaned. At least this works now... The couch is covered in stains of all colors. The hotel complex is unkempt and unfortunately not well maintained. We stayed in four hotels in Thailand last year from Krabi, Koh Phi Phi Phuket and even Khao Lak…. Unfortunately, this is by far the worst. If the price were based on the condition that would be ok... unfortunately it is still expensive compared to our last hotel in Khao Lak - the Waters.The view of the beach from the pool is beautiful. You look closely at the Khao Lak lighthouse. And all the service staff we've met so far have been extremely helpful and friendly.

This hotel was good while it was called centara. A huge territory, a lot of entertainment, but now little is working. There is a musty smell in the rooms. The villas are good, although old. Swimming pools are filled with chlorine, which can corrode your skin.The worst thing is the massages on site, they are not part of the hotel, but avoid them. Completely unsanitary. They don't change sheets and towels after clients, it's disgusting.

It was wonderful. Only snag was it was the wrong time to be there. The heat was overwhelming. The ocean was very very warm. The pool was surprisingly much hotter. Like a hot bath.

A slightly older hotel.front. It's an open air type room with no partitions and poor ventilation, so it gets very hot. The site is so large that it takes a long time to walk to the room at the end. No buggy either. The welcome drink is a voucher type that can be used at the poolside bar.Room. It's spacious and has a balcony, and the air conditioner works well, so it's comfortable, but the shower is bad. Chorochoro type. The mini shower that comes with the bathtub has stronger water pressure. The pillow doesn't have a bad smell. There are chairs and a drying rack on the balcony, so you can also check out your swimsuits. However, there are mosquitoes, so it's better to buy mosquito coils at a nearby convenience store.pool. Very spacious and comfortable, but barely any hot water. Close to the bath. It's nice that the kids can play because there is a slider. The sunset is very beautiful. There are swings hanging from trees on the beach.breakfast. It's normal.location. When visiting the Similan Islands, this hotel is recommended as it is relatively close to the port. It is pitch dark at night, so be careful when going out.Wifi is 17.1mbps. Lots of geckos. Lots of ants.AMEX cannot be used, only VISA/MASTER.
