Booked via luxury escapes and it was hardly that. Didn't end up checking in, we left. Rooms were run down, 3 stunk of mould. Major construction going on in the middle of the resort that of course was not disclosed. Kids pool area is very good (though needs maintenance). Have no clue how this rates so highly unless it's ratings come from people that are blind.

Fabulous resort for families with kids. We booked a family slide room and the kids love it so much. A lot of things for kids to do and my kids love the water park so much, Breakfast is a great choice to select from. The location was great walkout outside the hotel has a lot of restaurants, 7-11, and laundry service. Hair salon. We definitely go back again.

Rooms are slightly outdated, as is the case with almost all hotels, but the room service is lagging behind.Breakfast is great, as I would expect from a hotel in Thailand, lots of fresh fruit and straight juices.The facility is very well maintained and is currently being expanded so that you unfortunately have to take a different route to the beach.All in all, I would go here againThere are three of us here with a 5 year old child

The room, conference room, beautiful, clean, complete with equipment. When staying, the room had a slide, a TV, but that's okay. The equipment in the room was complete. There was also an iron. Big hotel, but a short walk to the water park. Because the buildings are connected Walk a little to reach the beach.There are many breakfast options to choose from, very good value. The water park has staff to help and take care of you closely.In front of the hotel there are many restaurants.

Easy going resort for a family or couple to relax the week away. Resort has good options for restaurants. (Mostly Same menu at all restaurants). The pool is packed with options for the kids. Large pools spread out throughout the property, and poolside rooms also available in a private pool setting. Main pool area has a swim up bar, restaurant, splash pad, waterslide, lazy river and plenty of places to lounge around.The pool is about 1.2m in the main pool and maybe 1.4 or more in the beachside pool. Life jackets available for the kids to use as well.All staff at the resort have been amazing, with the exception of some restaurant staff which could use a bit more training.Rooms were spacious and the family room has some false walls able to seperate the kids from the bedroom area. Patio overlooks the lagoon, pool, or wilderness areas.We booked the inclusive package (Luxury Escapes) which included 2 massages, and 3 meals a day for everyone. Limits onMeal cost if ordering alOur package included a shuttle from the airport to the resort. Booked a return shuttle for around 2500 BHT. ($111 AUD).

Comming from little shore over here is like a cold shower back to an unfriendly reality, where front desk staff is lacking of customer orientation nor information about the ongoing maintenance in the areal.It is our third stay in one of the sister hotels within 2 weeks in this trip but there is zero communication between the hotels. Only staff at little shore was aware of our plans and reacted proactively. Is it a big deal to ask for a note like “give a sign when you send our customers over to us” from Sands side to be ready at the reception?Of course with the first remark about “we do not want to have a room next to the construction site” we got a new one. As it should be in a 5 star, but everything around there is really nothing more then what to expect in 3 or 4 star.There are so many missed chances as we were here a few years ago, where people could connect to. But well, I see there is a big gap between little shore and sands in pricing but also in package. But proactively people are nothing what really any money. Seems only to be about training, where the hotel side by side is showing how to do it.Maybe I was wrong in my expectations. But pretty sure will not considers the sands again for my future plans. BTW: am here for about an hour now, but this is my disappointed feeling of the stay until now.Update: we was told our new room is ready to move in. On the front desk they told us no worry our luggage is placed in the new room and the cards are set for the other room. Arriving there: nothing. No access to the new room, still to the old where we also found our luggage. Sum up: nothing of the promised things happens, so I had to take care of the things again. Looking forward to a great week, when service stays in this quality.Update 2: at breakfast Customer Relation is very friendly and proactive. She took our complaints very seriously and tries to solve all things. Our wet room will get a de-humiliation-device for example. Really appreciate her effort!

I visited the hotel's supermarket which sells clothes, wine and much else in the more exclusive style in March - April 2024. The lady who guided me was extremely professional and took the time to explain everything I needed to know. We will be back in December 2024 and we look forward to coming back to your business. A special thank you to the lady who helped us Piangjai (Noy) whom we look forward to meeting again.

Not good service at the bar! Dirty brown rims on the glasses, stock pushed under refrigerators, staff can't see any work, very unfriendly bartender NOON, is touching up her make-up, while the guests are waiting for drinks and the bar is dirty.Location on the beach was great, but breakfast seems like a party... For large families who like to improve their English accent, this is the ultimate place!!!So after 2 nights we said goodbye to the hotel.

The room was clean when we went during the rainy season. Secretly a little damp But the facilities are very complete.There are a lot of activities to do. There's almost no need to go anywhere.Delicious food, friendly staff, good service, very good soundproofing rooms. Impressive, will definitely go again.

FAMILY RESORT, NOT FOR COUPLESThis resort caters heavily for the family market, clearly this is the target market at this property together with many Southeast Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern guests. Our advice is don’t go here if you want a relaxing enjoyable holiday. There is little consideration given to couples.The reception staff are not friendly or helpful and most speak little English.Our room, described as a “Suite”, is NOT a suite, it had a bed & couch, this is NOT a suite. The couch was very uncomfortable and the TV could not be viewed from the bed. We had a family with very noisy children in the room next to us during our stay.The package includes set menus having very limited choices & small serves. Breakfast was ok but extremely busy, more like a feeding frenzy at the zoo. There is an Adults only breakfast restaurant located next to the kids swimming pool with every imaginable kid activity going on in the pool. This restaurant is not adhered to as Adults only by guests with children and is Not monitored by staff.Despite making a booking early in the day and requesting a table in a quiet area of the restaurant, after we were seated a large family group with very badly behaved noisy children was seated at the next table, the staff moved tables together to make a large table. A nightmare dining experience.The happy hour drinks menu is limited, one only beer option, 4 cocktails, No wine.Access to The Sands Luxury Club with nightly free-flow drinks hour (drinks for adults only)This “Sands Luxury Club” is listed as a benefit in our Luxury Escapes package, but it does not exist. Happy hour drinks were in two locations available for all guests including their screaming kids.The spa is a covered verandah area. We only used it once, requested a gentle massage, the massage lady was very rough and despite repeatedly requested her to go softer she did not listen.Do your research before you choose this resort, if you are a couple wanting a relaxing holiday, it’s not for you.

We spent a week at The Sands Khao Lak by Katathani as a couple and were overall very satisfied. We had a junior suite with direct pool access in a newly built building. The room was quiet, well equipped and we didn't miss anything. It was particularly nice that we received fresh towels for the bathroom and pool every day.The pool area is fantastic, some pools even offer a direct view of the sea. The lounge area with comfortable loungers and sea views was also a real highlight. However, swimming in the sea is only possible to a limited extent as large stones sometimes wash up and the waves are sometimes quite strong - ideal for wave lovers, but a bit dangerous.The staff at the hotel were consistently courteous and very friendly, and communication in English worked without any problems. The room service was also first class and absolutely reasonable in terms of price.The hotel's location is ideal - there are many restaurants within a five-minute walk. We definitely recommend a trip to Khao Sok National Park and the lake, it was an unforgettable experience.The only small point of criticism: the breakfast buffet is unfortunately not air-conditioned, which gets quite warm in the morning. The food was left in an uncooled room for several hours, which bothered us a bit.Overall, a great hotel for a relaxing holiday – we would definitely recommend it!

This is the worst resort ever.There's a terrible sewage smell in the room.The odor gets even worse when the air conditioner is on.If you try to air out the room by opening the door, you'll get swarmed by mosquitoes. Telling the staff doesn't help.The staff are extremely unfriendly and don't resolve the smell issue in the room.It's a very unpleasant place to stay.They claim it's a 5-star resort, but it doesn't even deserve 3 stars.On top of that, construction is going on, making it inconvenient to move around.

I took my kids here this morning by buggy from The Little Shore and we all had the best time playing on the waterpark, swimming in the several pools including the swim up bar 🍸, the tube ride, and the waterslides. All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, grabbed some towels and relaxed under the umbrella. Resort is a short walk to the beach ⛱️ and to the main street area with plenty of shops around. Great hotel, I've been there twice with the family. Unfortunately, there were too many Israelis who had absolutely no decency and stole everything that wasn't nailed down. We were also warned by other guests that things would disappear.

Go with the full hope that you will have a memorable rest in the hotel. But the results were the opposite.Starting with check-in The receptionist takes good care of you. But when entering the room with receiving a room where the door cannot be closed. Bellboy employee I was told to wait just a moment and had the technician come up and take a look. After almost 30 minutes, no employee or technician came up to take a look at it. Notify through the application again. Even if an employee calls to inquire When the employee comes to check The employee said that he had to wait until 5:30 p.m. for the technician to come and take a look. The room door cannot be closed. So I requested to change the room. The room that was changed to was quite not okay. The room has twin beds that are connected together. The room that was initially given was a single bed room, which was not very satisfactory. The mattress was dusty, which was understandable and had to be cleaned in a hurry. As a result, this vacation started with an unimpressive feeling, which resulted in not being very happy while staying in the hotel.
