It has been closed. It is said to be undergoing renovation and is expected to reopen in two to three years. That's what I thought. It might be February or March (the conversation was in Thai, so the accuracy is lacking)When I went to check it out later, it looked like an apartment.Minshuku Hiha is closed.

When I was stuck in Thailand due to the coronavirus pandemic while traveling around the world, I went there to gather information and find out if it was a good place to stay for a long time.First of all, as for the location, having walked through poor neighborhoods all over the world, it was obvious to me that the area surrounding this inn was poor. However, it's not extremely dangerous, so it's OK as long as you're careful walking around at night.Although it is located in such a place, the first floor has the atmosphere of a diner that is about to collapse, and from the entrance there is a gloomy atmosphere, and there were three Japanese people drinking beer and having fun in the middle of the day, but to be honest, All three of us had dirty clothes and eyes like rotten fish, and I tried not to make eye contact with them at the front desk. I went up to the second floor.I was able to talk to the current owner, whose father is apparently Japanese, and he told me about the one-month contract and showed me around the room. I can at least speak Japanese, but it was impossible for me to have the same Japanese conversation as a Japanese person. The room was relatively clean by the standards of a cheap hotel compared to the exterior and the first floor. (Don't compare it to Japanese business hotels! It's just a cheap hotel)My impression was that the price was not as cheap as I expected. At the rate at the time, it was about 1,000 yen per night, and it was an 8 tatami room with only a fan. Toilets and showers are shared. As a result, I decided to make Khao San my home base because there were better guesthouses with private rooms all over the place.Well, I think the value of this inn is that there are a lot of Japanese people, so if you're lucky, it's easy to gather information.

The first floor is a dining room and the second floor and above are guesthouses. Accommodation fees are cheap. The owner can speak Japanese.

I stayed there for about half a month in 2017. Since the elderly Japanese people are staying there, you can't expect to talk about travel or have any international exchange, so I can't really recommend it to young people who are planning to travel around the world, but the location is convenient. . Walking distance to bus stops, 2 large shopping malls, and Klong Toy market.

It used to be a Japanese inn, but now foreigners are staying there. Also, Dining Rules, where guests used to gather, is now closed.

It's good that the price is low, but the bedding smelled like dirt and I had it replaced, but it was still smelly, although it was a little better. Because it's the rainy season, I wonder if they took it in before it was completely dry. I've been using it occasionally for over 10 years, but the bedding has never smelled bad. Maybe it's because the housekeeper has changed.

If you want to stay cheap, this is the place. I think a single room is safe.

This is a great location if you want to play tennis. Nearby are APF and Noah, two of Bangkok's best tennis clubs, and a 20-minute walk to local tennis courts. There are 2 large supermarkets next door and 5 minutes walk to Nihonmachi. There is a dining room on the first floor. There are a lot of elderly people in the accommodation, and there are some strange people, but they are harmless. You'll get used to it if you live there. It's been a long time since I've been able to specify a room when making a reservation, so please give up. I feel like I'll move when it's empty.
