We stayed at Gorga hostel for 4 nights in the family room. The location was great, close to shops, restaurants and cafes whilst still being in a quiet street. It can be difficult to find from the main road as it’s down a small alley.The service was good, staff were friendly and helpful - they helped with doing our laundry and hanging it to dry, and when the ac in our room stopped working they fixed it promptly.There was a kitchen and common space with a fridge and filtered water which was very useful.The room was comfortable and spacious as we were only 2 people in the family room, although pillows were a bit hard. Shower was hot, pressure was just ok.Overall the hostel had a nice comfortable vibe to it.Cons:- the bathroom fan was not working and the bathroom always smelt bad and didn’t feel super clean- we were told not to flush toilet paper down the toilet which was inconvenient- the ac was not very strong

It was perfect. The staff was kind. There is a kitchen so you can make simple meals. The bed was cleaned to the back and very clean.

I really liked the hostel, you get a very good accommodation for the price you pay. Most important the rooms and the beds were clean.You can get breakfast for a price, which is fair enough. And what was a life changer for me was the kitchen, there are not many hostels out there with a kitchen you can use.The hostel is located within a walking distance to a big Alfamart, ATM, Fruit shop, coffee shops and restaurants.The staff are really cute and help you with anu questions you have and give you recommendations!!

The rooms are clean and quite spacious, we have room to put our things. The beds have curtains which makes nights more comfortable. There is water, coffee and tea available, scooter rental and laundry service. The best part of this hostel is the kindness of the host who found me a ticket to borodubur even though the places on the internet were sold out. She also helped me book the trip to Karimunjawa. So I can only recommend this hostel!

I want to rate two things separately: the service and the rooms.I booked a room in the female dorm. The room is pretty dark and very basic. The air conditioner was a bit loud at night. There are only 4 lockers for 6 beds. The atmosphere was okay, but not super comfortable. The toilet is shared between the female dorm and the mixed dorm. The whole bathroom is outside and there’s hardly any shelf space.. I didn’t like that much. There are two toilets/showers for 17(?) beds, but it was pretty clean, even though the place wasn’t fully booked.The service, however, was great. Novena was very attentive and gave me a warm welcome. She always made sure I had everything I needed. She was also flexible with the check-out time and storing my luggage. Thanks again!

The cheapest or one of the cheapest hostels in Yogyakarta and for that value you get a lot. Stuff is super nice, rooms are good, bed comfortable and with curtains and lights, lockers and refill water. Absolutely recommended.
