The place is comfortable, the view is also goodToo bad, the hot water was dead at 8 am

Please, those who want to stay here should think again. My biggest mistake was choosing this hotel to stay. WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!! My room booking via Agoda was canceled several days ago by the hotel on the grounds that the room was full. I traveled +- 90km to get to the location only to be informed that their hotel was full. The solution from the staff was just to tell them to stay in another place which was a resident's house, because at that time the hotels around were fully booked. And the funny thing is that we were told to negotiate the price ourselves, to take care of it ourselves, without any help or compensation from the hotel!! Hahaha...pathetic. We asked to meet with the manager but it turned out the person wasn't there, couldn't be contacted, ran away from responsibility and handed everything over to 1 staff member who could only hah heh hoh….We were abandoned in a condition of travel fatigue, cold weather, hunger without certainty of a place to stay until it was already evening. I had to wait until sunset (+- 3 hours) until finally the manager could be contacted. And you know what? The manager named ARDI is a f****** a**hole, he simply told us to refund by the system, and that's it! The way he answered was arrogant and haughty. The hotel didn't even have the intention to contact me in advance regarding cancellation!!! At least I don't have to spend time traveling very far only to be told that our room is not available. If you have the intention, you can call, follow up, update information with Agoda, instead of being slow to respond and taking things for granted. I contacted Agoda straight away, the problem was resolved in 5 minutes. You, the hotel, do not have serious intentions, are running away from responsibility and taking things too lightly. And you know, the most dissapointing part is: not once did the hotel staff or manager say the word "SORRY" to us from the moment we arrived until we left. The way you treat guests shows how poor your human resources and manners are, hire someone competent, not your unprofessional family members!!Because we were fed up with incompetent people, we left there and traveled 3 hours back to find a place to stay, taking a dangerous route on the edge of a pitch black ravine without any lighting. What a day!!! Hopefully you will be rewarded for your actions!!Soo please, if you want to stay here, it's better to look for another place nearby, there are still lots of lodgings that are much better with management that is much better.And one more thing, please your staff or whoever your family members are, if you don't shower, at least use deodorant. Even when I wear a mask, I still smell the smell of my armpits 🤮

Came here on Friday 24 May 2024, arrived at the hotel around 5 pm only to be told that the room I had booked a few days earlier was already occupied by someone else. The guard couldn't provide any solution because the manager was not there and it was very difficult to contact him. I waited almost 2 hours to be able to contact the manager and the person concerned said there was a system error from A*oda so the hotel was overbooked. The hotel did not try to notify me before the day of my booking and several other guests were also forced to not be able to stay here even though they had booked well in advance. Finally, because that week all the hotels in Sembalun were fully booked at the same time as the Rinjani100 event, I was forced to go down to Senggigi, traveling for 3 hours and passing through the pitch black Sembalun road. My advice is that if you want to stay here, call first to check whether the room is available or not, instead of going all the way up to Sembalun but getting stuck. Hopefully we can improve from a hospitality perspective because when the manager calls, the person concerned can only blame the hotel without any empathy whatsoever.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel!It had such a cool mix of modern with a clean room and had a vintage vibes.The service was on point, we asked for extra pillow and they instantly served us.The view was absolutely breathtaking! With the huge majestic mountains behind and the beautiful vegetables fields right in front of the hotel. The breakfast wasn't my go to morning grub and I believe there is room for improvement. Even though the hotel is located beside the road and wasn't much noise at night . In the mornin, we were met with the most beautiful sunrise.The Overall, it was an incredible stay with such a picturesque setting. I would recommend it.

The staff, impeccable and very available.The rooms on the other hand hardly close, the sliding door does not cover any noise, you will hear all the traffic, as if you were lying on the road. I didn't sleep.10/10 for the staff.

This place is beautiful and modern and that’s why we chose this place for our stay in Sembalun. We quickly regretted it because it gets way too HOT during the day. The place literally becomes an oven as soon as the sun comes up, probably because of the large windows and metal structure in the roof. When the sun comes up the room becomes unbearable and you have to open the doors for some breeze. It’s not great because there is a loud busy road right in front of the place and people can see you. It is impossible to sleep in and get rest. The view is nice of the mountains but I didn’t know there was a loud busy road right in front so it takes away from the nature. If you arrive at night and leave before 8am then this place is would be fine to stay. There is a small a/c unit in the room but it doesn’t really cool down the place, it acts more like a fan. In the positive side the facilities are nice, super clean, hot water in the shower, comfy bed, and there were thoughtful touches. Staff was kind and helpful. Food was decent at the restaurant. It was nice we could eat there because there aren’t a lot of options to eat in Sembalun.

Fine place to rest the night when you are on a trip around the island . The houses are in good condition and hopefully they keep the standard and cleannessThe village around is not very high visit so can recommend to take the dinner or breakfast in the same place .Best thing is to do the reservation o line because they are not prepared for drop in arrivals , but they can guide you to do the booking .thanks to the friendly staff
