Just passing through actually during CFD (car free day) on Sunday.But I had the chance to try the culinary specialties available especially on Sunday mornings, they were really delicious 😁Starting from wet cake snacks like rissoles, there are various kinds of porridge, there is also a rice menu available.Hot and cold drinks are also available.Affordable prices 👍🏻The lady who manned the stand was very friendly and very helpful.Hopefully there will be another opportunity and good fortune to stop by in Surabaya and stay at the Varna Hotel.

This hotel needs a bit of renovation for the room facilitiespluses:- the hotel is quite cheap for a strategic location on Jalan Tunjungan- If you want to go to TP, just walk a little- friendly employees- the hotel is old school but beautifulminuses:- because the hotel is old school, there are a lot of old things, you get a rather sad room, the sink faucet is small- the AC isn't cold enough even though it's already 18 degrees- Enter on August 17th so it might be full, checkin time waiting 1 hour- the receptionist forgot to return my ID card, and I needed to chat first to confirm (the receptionist didn't recheck my contact first even though it was an ID card)

An interesting and authentic experience when staying the night here. The strong history is proven by the atmosphere of the hotel which shows much of the city of Surabaya during the Dutch era. Room prices are still affordable considering its location is surrounded by 5 star hotels, making the Varna Hotel an alternative for staying overnight in the Tunjungan area of Surabaya.Employee service is also good, room cleanliness is maintained. However, if I may have a little suggestion, the breakfast menu could be expanded so that there are more choices.Good service, highly recommended.

Told receptionist there’s bed bugs on bed and the aircond is not working well, requested to change room but they asked us to wait and told us aircond was fine … they’re not helping it, even it’s affordable but the cleanliness is too bad, the only pros is they are located at their famous tunjugan street

A hotel that is quite pocket friendly with a location in the Tunjungan area which is an icon of the city of Surabaya. The employees are friendly. The food and BF are cheap, cm 40 thousand/pack all U can eat. Thank you Varna.

I was very sad when I received the news from my uncle that the management was not professional and irresponsible.... 😡When his car was damaged to the point that the gear broke, the hotel staff didn't want to compensate him.Be careful who have a vehicle and want to stay at a hotel there, DON'T if you don't want to suffer the same fate as my uncle... 😭😭There are lots of other hotels around there...

I was supposed to be able to check in at 14:00 because there was a problem. I was only able to check in at around 16:00, at first I was told to wait 1 hour because the room was still being cleaned, 1 hour later I confirmed again but I was told to wait another 1 hour because the room was still being cleaned. still not finished cleaning,, from here I already feel bad,, and at the end of the room I live in is still dirty, there are footprints on the wall, the AC is not cold, the toilet is still wet, there is an unpleasant smell in the toilet too,, hospitality It's still not very good, breakfast too, I already know that some food is empty, there's no initiative from the employees to refill it, waiting for a guest to ask before they fill it up, the point is that from the start the guests have been made uncomfortable.

Room quality, service, location are all okay. The hotel's location is strategic on Jalan Tunjungan Surabaya so it's easy to get anywhere. Like Tunjungan and Tunjungan PlazaThe service is also okay, and usually if you want laundry delivered in the morning and evening it has been delivered/finished because he collaborates with other parties outside. Room facilities are also complete.Apart from that, the food is just a bit less varied and very standard.In the morning in front of the hotel there is a terrace and they are selling. So you can hang out looking at people passing by on Tunjungan StreetAt this hotel there are also lifts and stairs, apart from that there is a prayer room on the 2nd floor==I have reviewed many places honestly based on experience, click on my profile to see other reviews.

The rooms have a classic feel, clean, the location in the middle of Jalan Tunjungan is very strategic. "The staff are friendly." And this is what really makes me want to come back. Almost all of the dishes are delicious, oiii. This is the first time I tried the Signature Nasi Bambu Runcing menu, it's really delicious. The rice is placed in bamboo like that and it tastes great.

Cheap prices in the city centerThe hotel is clean, comfortable, so tight that you can't hear the call to prayer.There is a large prayer room, elevatorBooked 3 rooms, 1 room had a slightly smelly bathroom, maybe this could be used as a correction by the management.The rooms are quite spacious, have a classic feel from the past but seem modern.Located on Jalan Tunjungan, the busy center of Surabaya, you don't need to go far to find entertainment, just hang out drinking coffee in front of the hotel and watch people go by.Overall great, comfortable, if you go to Surabaya, stay here again.One note that needs to be addressed is that the bathroom in the end room smells like steam from the drain.

Stayed for a staycation in Tunjungan, requested a non-smoking Traveloka, but got a smoking room, the smell was really strong, there was no solution from the staff other than spraying it and leaving it to disappear, the other room also took a really long time to get ready, it was delayed for an hour, and it smelled really bad of cigarettes, KTP I was also detained, even though I had paid + given a deposit, I forgot to return it, I only remembered a few days later, and the hotel staff just kept silent... there was no telephone call from the hotel... but the location is the best... that's the only plus.
