Vanilla Garden

We came here with two families and booked all 4 bungalows for three nights. So the staff and everything else was just for us.The access to the accommodation is rather complicated, we were let out on the street and then had to walk about 200m to the bungalows. The staff were very helpful and assisted with luggage.As soon as we arrived, someone took our children (11-14) and went with them into the forest and the rice fields. The children came back really excited. In the evening they built a campfire, sang with the children and made jokes.The next day we did a day tour of waterfalls, rice fields, weaving and bamboo manufacturing with the staff. They did it really well, interestingly and at different levels of knowledge for the children and us.The food here is delicious, it takes a while, but it is very good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They always took the children along, kept them busy and made it very interesting for them. On the last day they went to the local school with our children and briefly showed them how teaching is done here. Children were thrilled.It's our 7th hotel here in Lombok and the kids say it's the best so far. Because they weren't just one of many guests here, they were the center of attention.Highly recommended for families.The bungalows are simply designed, without air conditioning, but this is not needed here. The bathroom is large, sometimes there is a lack of hot water. The mirror in our bathroom was partially blind, but for the price you have to expect that.All in all, this was our best accommodation, simple but welcoming.

Very pleasant place in the middle of the rice fields, we visited waterfalls and villages thanks to someone from the accommodation.

Amazing experience.Being there in the middle of the rice fields and local gardens is an experience in itself. But beeing able to hang out with the local staff (shout out to Mat for being awesome), who was enjoying showing us around. This experience went way beyond any sort of commercial relationship.We strongly recommand you do the day tour, which is cheap and very helping for the locals money-wise. Youll be able to visit rice fields, witness rare species of monkey in their natural habitat, learn bamboo crafting, weaving, and visit a coffee farm. If you like waterfalls, you will also enjoy this tour.Thank you for those amazing two days, thank you for the cooking class, the day tour, the local remedy when I scratched my big toe, and thanks for the warm welcome. 😍Eugenie (boss) and Pierre-Louis.
