CHEMEL HOMESTAY

We stayed for about 1 week in Chemel and we loved it.The value for money for the deluxe room is really great, hot water, air conditioning and comfortable beddingThe staff is pleasant and the accommodation is really well located close to the center but quiet

I had booked 3 nights but I stayed 2 nights in this place which claims to be a homestay but it was far from being a warm and welcoming stay.The first day I was walking back to the accommodation and I was attacked by three dogs who occupied the vacant lot behind the homestay. I called for help several times but no one came. And when I managed to get out and went back inside the homestay there was a guy from the staff lying there acting as if nothing had happened.I went to see him and said:"- I called for help several times, why didn't you come and help me!? There are 3 dogs that can attack your customers, it's extremely dangerous!!""I haven't heard anything. Do you want to rent a scooter?"So not only is he lying because he obviously heard since I was 40 meters away, but he also didn't care if I had been scratched or bitten and worse the only thing that interested him was is that I rent him a scooter.I got seriously ill the same evening and the next day I needed a scooter to get around, and they told me "we don't have a scooter". I was quite shocked and reminded them that it was part of the homestay's services but apparently there were no more available.I went to a medical clinic and was diagnosed with the dengue virus. So I returned to the homestay completely exhausted, explaining to them that I had to leave to be hospitalized. And they clearly didn't care about my exhausted state, nor did they offer to help me get to the clinic when I had a fever and my enormous backpack plus another bag. Luckily I was able to pay for just 2 nights and get out of this place.I do not recommend the water available which is hot because it is under a high wind in the heat.Regarding breakfast (a small omelette or a pancake) if you don't remind them that it's an included service they won't tell you about it.The room was clean but mine was opposite the water pump which meant that all night every 30 seconds you made an unpleasant noise.So I asked to change rooms and I was able to get one further away.The location of the homestay is at the end of a long dirt road strewn with bumps and holes which does not make it easy to access.In short I do not recommend this place.

Great location, great value. WiFi 10-25 mbps! Great place in the Center of Lombok. Simple and yummy brekkie and there’s always a staff member on reception.

Quiet place, you can almost not hear the mosques, the path from the road to the hotel is not very good and no hot water but at 210k rp per night it is correct. Good mattress and wifi

Place removed from the road, more or less calm, but not easy to access, dirt road with hollows and bumps as we like when traveling on a scooter!

Hidden area, quite place

There are insects and rats in the rooms and the purse of my friend got stolen by the room service. 350€ gone and the owner reacts unprofessional and very suspicious. CAN NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Very nice homestay, a little bit hidden but close to the main street.nice effect: you don't hear the mosque or dogs, which is almost always a problem in kuta.Note that the homestay just got renovations and upgrades, resulting in a fresh and rejuvenated ambiance.There were no signs of rats or pests anymore.
