Xanadu Surf & Yoga Boutique Retreat

I just had a great week at Xanadu for the long board surf camp with Tessa Timmons. The location up the hill has a bumpy road but is worth it, with big open views of the coast, deluxe pool, yoga shala, restaurant and bedrooms. But what makes this place worth the premium price is the people. José as the warm and intelligent host. Kyan, Sam and the whole surf team, we always felt very well taken care of in the surf. Thanks to Dani as well for the yoga, and the kitchen staff for the yummy food. And of course Tessa for coaching and encouraging us on the longboard, and also just being a a very down to earth human.A perfect first surf holiday. I’m immediacy ready for more!

Hands down the best surf retreat center we’ve ever partnered up with!👏🏽 Hosting two back to back surf retreats at Xanadu has been an absolute dream. We are already securing dates for next year. HUGE thank you to our exceptional host José, the warmest Chilean guy with big brown sparkly eyes, who went above and beyond for us. He somehow managed to call all the girls by name from day one and made everyone feel so welcome, loved and cared for. Also massive thank you to all the incredibly knowledgeable and playful surf instructors Kayan, Leah, Musta, Doyo, Izam, Dafa, Amir, Heru, Gong who all the girls fell a little bit in love with (including me). Thank you for taking such good care of the girls in the surf, putting on the best playlists on the way to the surf, making them feel safe in the water when they were a little insecure and helping them catch the wave of their lives all while having such a fun time. Thank you Kayan for the video analysis. Your knowledge and attention for detail has blown us away and the girls have learned so much. Over all, the daily surf trips were the highlight of our days!! Also big thanks to Dani for the beautiful yoga and meditation sessions and the lovely hangs before and after. Thank you for welcoming me into your beautiful world and I’ve really enjoyed our surfs and chats together! Also big thanks to the wonderful staff Apri, Aca, Jager, Desi, Zul for welcoming us back to the villa every time we came back from a surf or town. Seeing your beautiful faces instantly made us feel at home. That’s what Xanadu feels like, a home. A family that you can come back to. That cares for you, checks in with you, is always there for you, prepares the most amazing and nourishing meals for you. Xanadu is a place where you can recharge, fill your cup, connect to your heart again, take care of yourself with ice baths, massages and time by the pool. Where you can get your daily dog cuddles with Luna and be surrounded by so much beauty and aesthetic. In short: Xanadu makes us want to move to Lombok! I could not recommend it more. It’s left us feeling so uplifted, energized and deeply fulfilled. Thank you thank you thank you. We will forever remember and cherish our time in Lombok!

We had the most magical week at Xanadu retreat, the accommodation is so beautiful and they have lots of eco-friendly initiatives. I loved that everyone started their stay on the same day, it was lovely to watch the group bond and all progress together. The staff at the accommodation and all of the surf coaches were so friendly and made a huge effort to make you feel welcome. The food was also delicious! Lastly, a big thank you to José who was an amazing host, he did everything he could to make our stay carefree. Will definitely come back!

let me start by saying i wish i could spend another week here! the place is so pretty and i felt home the second i set foot into the retreat! josé is the best host you can find out there - attentive, present and lovely! the surf manager kayan and my instructors (doyo, daffa and kay) were all so helpful - ive improved the most in my very short time in the water by applying their tips in real time feedback out there in the water and during surf analysis. they made me feel safe and not every instructor can do that! the staffs (apri, aca, jager, desi and zul) warm your heart with their smiles - they are super helpful and they always gave their best, i can feel it! also the yoga by dani is sooo good in relaxing those sore muscles after surfing - she got options for every level so youre not pressured to do the advanced poses! overall can i also say how beautiful lombok is? the people i met here during this retreat are the most beautiful and its kinda feel like a second family! definitely not my last time here - i will come back for sure!🩷
