Anyway, our family is satisfied with getting an affordable healing place. We felt like we were going to our relative's house because the owner and employees welcomed us very friendly and it felt like family. The villa is very homely with cool air and green plants around it which reminds me of my parents' house. Waking up in the morning, walking around near the villa there are rice fields...The food menu is simple and very tasty...so you don't need to go out looking for food.I saw several guests taking the Merapi jeep tour... but it's a shame they didn't make it! In fact, there are also those who book spa/massage rooms... well, I don't have the chance eitherWhat's even better is that the owner (wife) is a Yoga Coach so coincidentally when there was a class I was able to join... that was cool!

Best villa in the Pakem/Kaliurang/Merapi area, super well positioned, superb setting, very affordable prices, luxurious and tasty greenery all around, artistic garden and decoration, very nice swimming pool, great views of the Merapi, large and generous ice teas, excellent deal! Most importantly, the owners are the greatest people around, very well educated, always with a big smile on their faces, super super friendly. The only problem is that the owner Pak Dedy is excellent at playing chess, be careful, if you choose this villa to beat the owner at chess game maybe better going at Sheraton or Hilton πŸ₯΄!

Homestay Mak Cik ReviewDuring our recent stay at Homestay Mak Cik, we found several positive aspects and a few areas for improvement. Here’s our detailed review:Pros:1. Affordable Pricing: The cost of staying at Homestay Mak Cik is very reasonable.2. Smooth Check-In: The check-in process was hassle-free and quick.3. Beautiful Scenery: If you’re lucky, you can enjoy a view of Mount Merapi from the property.4. Variety of Plants: The property boasts a wide variety of plants, making for a pleasant environment.5. Swimming Pool: There is a 1-meter depth pool available for guests.6. Car Hire Service: The property offers a car hire service for easy transportation to nearby areas.7. Delicious Food: The food served here is delicious.8. Friendly Hosts: The hosts are welcoming and willing to assist.9. Free Water: Guests receive two bottles of mineral water per day, and staff are happy to refill your tumbler for free upon request.Areas for Improvement:1. Toilet Tissue Placement: The provided toilet tissue rolls are placed in a tissue box, making them difficult to use.2. Shower Issues: The shower needs fixing as some holes are clogged, resulting in low water pressure. To get the shower to work properly, you have to open the water from the wash basin.3. Soundproofing: The property lacks soundproofing, so noise from other guests and nearby live music on Saturday nights can be disturbing.4. Breakfast Arrangement: There is no free breakfast. You need to proactively ask about the available menu the night before, especially since the property is in a remote area with no nearby breakfast options.5. Broken Bedroom Light: The bedroom light was broken, and we had to rely on a flashlight at night, which was inconvenient.6. Dusty Electric Kettle: An electric kettle was available but seemed dusty, so we didn’t use it.Despite these issues, our stay was overall pleasant. The scenic beauty, friendly hosts, and delicious food make Homestay Mak Cik a worthwhile choice for travelers who are flexible and don’t mind minor inconveniences.

A haven of peace surrounded by nature! Warm welcome from the owners and the restaurant is very nice. We stayed in the family "cabin" with a view of the Merapi. My son loved it. A stone's throw from the rice fields and pepper crops, we met the Merapi farmers and their families. It was an extraordinary moment.Vila Mak Cik also offers Jeep tours, which you can book directly on site. This way you have the pick-up directly from your room! The only downside is the mosque which is very noisy in the middle of the night. But it is very common in Indonesia! I also think the bathroom could do with a little updating. It remains secondary. We hope to be able to come back one day!!

Before we had no plans to stay at this villa, because we didn't have any preparations, we just asked on Google🀣 accommodation with high ratings around Kaliurang. And we decided to stay at Villa Mak Cik. We arrived at the accommodation around 10 pm. At first we thought it was the wrong route because the road was a bit quiet and there wasn't enough space for other vehicles (we were already thinking about moving). But my brother decided to try it first, who knows, maybe this is the way, and it was indeed the way. And when we arrived at the villa, we The owner was waiting for us and after we asked why the road was quiet when we got here and he said that this villa is located between rice fields, rivers and tall trees. And when we woke up in the morning we were greeted with beautiful birds singing and the atmosphere was very beautiful, cool, and calm from vehicle noise. The facilities are equipped with a swimming pool too. The owner of this villa is very typical of Java We were told to come back on the second day (even though we had already changed hotels around town) and then pick us up at the villa so we wouldn't have to worry. First of all, thanks to Miss Nana and her husband for taking care of it πŸ˜ŠπŸ™
