Upon landing in Bali I was a little worried that I hadn’t made a great decision - the traffic is hectic and it’s all very busy. BUT when I (finally) arrived at Bagus Jati, I was pleasantly surprised. …

I don't often leave reviews like this, but this is a really recommended accommodation. It is a place where you can relax quietly and with beautiful landscaping on an incredibly large site. The swimming pool can also be called a jungle view infinity pool. The water is also clean. All the staff are also friendly. The restaurant meal was clean and felt like good ingredients were used.Bathroom The bathroom is incredibly large. One thing to note is that the road leading in is really narrow and winding, so I recommend going in when it's bright. I went in after the sun had set and the road was very scary haha. But it was amazing that as I climbed up that high, there were still villages and people living there.

The facility is wonderful. The rooms are very nice. The employees are quite helpful. There are free events every day of the week, at every hour. There are classes such as yoga, meditation, language lessons, Jamu making. The spa service was great but even better the hair care was very good. I had a natural mask, natural shampoo and conditioner applied to my hair and it was very good. The only thing the facility needs to improve is the restaurant. Breakfast, meals etc. are below the standards of this place.Ubud is far from the center, but I think you should come here to spend time here.

This is an absolutely outstanding resort. My friend and I stayed there for almost a week in July and it is by far the best resort we have been at. They advertise as three stars, but the standard is easily at four star level. They have the most amazing infinity pool – all made in stone, with overlooking a cliff and stone fish sculptures spewing water. The spa is also great – I had a massage and an ayurvedic treatment. The food at the restaurant is very tasty. The staff is beyond nice and helpful. To keep in mind: this place is located about 40 min drive from Ubud. On the map it looks very close, but in fact it takes a while to get there, because the local roads are at times quite narrow and crowded. The benefit is that if you want to stay in a secluded paradise this place is going to be perfect. It is surrounded by a dense jungle, looking like straight from Jurassic Park. It also seemed to be a few degrees cooler than Ubud, which was actually quite pleasant. The microclimate there is quite humid, so some damp clothing (e.g. bikinis) took more than a day to completely dry.The only downside I can think about is their gym equipment. The threadmill, bicycle and the rest area bit dated and would benefit from improving. For people (like me) who like doing cardio every day this is quite important.

Located near the town of Ubut in the jungle with a great view from the cozy bungalows, the pool and the restaurant. The food tastes great, only the breakfast could be a little better. …
