As others write, the hotel is an oasis of peace in a busy environment. We were only there for a few days, but everything was fine and satisfactory. There was a relaxed atmosphere. The food was fine. …

Would definitely recommend this hotel! It’s a peaceful oasis within Medan’s busyness and the perfect place to relax after hours of traveling. The staff was the friendliest we’ve had during our whole trip, always willing to help. …

We really enjoyed our night at this hotel. It is clean, nicely decorated, with a superb swimming pool. The restaurant is of good quality, although the pizza did not live up to our expectations. The breakfast is great though! The trip organized by the hotel was generally excellent, with our guide, Alfin, really lovely and helpful. The excursion to see the orangutans was incredible, despite some reservations about feeding the animals to attract them. However, the activity at the so-called "elephant sanctuary" was a real disappointment. Sold as ethical, it is absolutely not. The elephants are herded into a small enclosure, forced to obey commands to lie in the river, ridden by trainers and used as entertainment for tourists. We feel guilty about having participated in this excursion and bitterly regret our choice. If you like animals, do not participate in this activity. This is anything but ethical, and it saddened us deeply. For a hotel that wants to be ecological and ethical, it is crucial to review this type of activity and no longer offer them to customers without ensuring their validity, which is why we give the rating 3/5.In summary, a nice hotel with good service, but be careful with the activities offered: some can be very far from the advertised values.

The hotel was quite nice, but the restaurant not so good. I ordered a black pepper beef to my room, and it was the toughest meat I have eaten in years. So tough I just gave up chewing and put it back on the plate. Th breakfast we paid for was a bit boring.
