Very nice villa in Sidemen. The view of the mountain and the valley are unique. The staff is super nice and very helpful. Brori in particular took very good care of us. Everything was explained, we took a short hike through the rice fields and showed us everything in the area.We had a wonderful time in Sidemen. Just like Ubud was 20 years ago 😉Thank you! We'd love to come back.

Sideman wasn't even on our radar when we first planned our Bali trip. But then I stumbled across this villa on Airbnb and was instantly hooked by the stunning cover photo. So, I decided to book two nights, and I'm beyond thrilled that I did! This place turned out to be the highlight of our entire Bali adventure. We arrived around 5:30 pm, just in time for a gorgeous sunset. Stepping into the villa, I was a bit bummed that Mt. Agung was playing hide-and-seek behind the clouds. I kept pestering the host, "When can I see Mt. Agung?" 😅 It became my mission to catch a glimpse of it over the next 24 hours. My silly husband decided to order bebek betutu for dinner, and oh my goodness, it was the best meal he had in Bali (he still raves about it). The host mentioned that they toned down the spices for tourists, and it was absolutely perfect for us.Day 2 greeted us with more clouds and no Mt. Agung, but the delicious breakfast delivered to our doorstep totally made up for it. We even saw a group of adorable school kids sweeping the roads behind the villa. In the afternoon, we explored the nearby village and met some friendly locals. By evening, a thick fog rolled in, wrapping Mt. Agung and the rice fields in a mystical embrace. Then came the surprise! We woke up on Day 3 to a crystal-clear view of Mt. Agung right from our bed. I was soooo excited and couldn't stop snapping photos every five minutes. The view was absolutely breathtaking and extraordinary. We felt incredibly lucky to witness Mt. Agung in its foggy, cloudy, and clear glory. Each view was a unique experience.Lastly, a huge shoutout to our amazing host, who welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality without being overwhelming. This villa is truly a rare gem with a soul. If you're looking for a peaceful, non-touristy spot with stunning views, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

I'll start by saying that in reading the very few bad reviews about the loft villa: these are Westerners who were looking to have a bad time or who came to Bali not to be in Bali. To any future bookers looking at Sidemen as a destination and seeking accommodation, just know that their accounts are exaggerated, to say the least. Be aware that you are coming to the jungle: there are bugs that are loud, and there is some traffic coming through the village but it shouldn't impact your stay as it is limited to working hours.Villa Iseh was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. Sidemen is what Ubud was 50 years ago and is the ideal place to visit in Bali if you want to feel the place fully. They are technically in Village Iseh, which is just beyond Sidemen's borders, but is a 10 minute taxi from Village Tabola which is a strip in downtown Sidemen where all of the guest houses and tourists are. Honestly, there is more 'hustle bustle' with the tourist village, but the unique experience of staying in the village with the view over Agung is an experience you will not get anywhere else in Bali. There is a sincere magic to this place. We were, by our estimation, given a great gift from the gods with Mount Agung as we had a remarkable show every single morning, and every single night. Rain or shine, we really had it all and watching the volcanos weather patterns evolve throughout the day was a miracle. I'm not a religious person, but I am spiritual, and there is something holistic about this place. I cried saying goodbye to Agung!!A massive shout out to Brori, the house manager, who ensured we had a truly memorable stay. He took us to neighbouring villages and pointed out the local flora and fauna, trekked with us through the rice fields, taught us Balinese, and shared a lot of insight on the region. We are so thankful for our experience and would recommend Villa Isah to anyone we know traveling through Bali (but not so many that it does to Sidemen what happened to Ubud!!)

We booked for three nights the room with two beds. But really the second bed is not usable too hot no air circulation no light switches upstairs - and the stair is steep and dangerous. There is loud noise until late at night from the very busy road so close with trucks and motorbikes. Then in the daytime some loud noise like a birdscarer or fireworks every five minutes just metres away. It looks fantastic but after spending a night with hardly any sleep we left and cancelled the other two nights to find a place to rest. Incredible views but no use if you cant sleep and there is constant noise in the day. We only got $97 refunded so paid $553 for one night!! It is 5 km from the village along a road that is too narrow busy and dangerous to walk on. So you are isolated once here unless you get taxis which isnt easy. I do not recommend staying here at all.

What a wonderful stay we had here. View over the rice fields and Mount Agung, excellent service and great room with jacuzzi and phenomenal view. We found the food, including breakfast, a bit simple and limited in choice. The luxury of the stay could be improved/expanded somewhat, especially if you stay here a little longer. We were here for 4 nights, the road is nearby so you can hear traffic noise, which we did not find disturbing. For lunch we went to the nearby warung Iseh which offers very tasty food for low prices.
