Great diving and snorkeling area.|Great underwater world, intact coral reefs, lots of fish, mostly the typical colorful shoals of reefs. And lots of turtles, we saw them on every dive. …

We really enjoyed our four-night stay at this resort, one of the few with direct access to the sea on the eastern coast of Bunaken, without mangroves.  …

I spent some time searching for lodging for a snorkel trip to the Bunaken Marine Park and found Raja Laut Dive Resort. We were very happy with our time at the small spot right on the water on Bunaken Island.Thank you to the proprietor we stayed in the little bungalow right near the water - our balcony overlooked the beach and mangrove swamp to our left. It's my understanding this is the only (or one of very few) resorts on the island that front the water without the mangroves to walk thru. The staff were friendly and helpful. The three meals were delicious and plentiful - apart from breakfast, served family style. Our room was smaller but cozy - the bed was comfortable. It was a darker room with little window but we did not spend time other than sleeping in the room - it was a joy to it on the balcony or the lounge chairs or hammock on property. They arranged a local person with a boat to provide us with our own snorkel excursion - one day with another couple who stayed at the resort. This captain really knew the area well, with significant tidal action every day - he would take us to the best spots around the island. And he was very attentive - an excellent captain/guide.It is named a dive resort and they do provide dive excursions but we were very happy they attended to us snorkelers as well - not as "2nd class guests" but with full hospitality. The snorkeling around Bunaken Island was/is magnificent. Our expectations were high and they were exceeded. We even heard from other guests that Bunaken is on par or even better than the snorkeling in Raja Ampat (on our list). We will definitely be back here - to enjoy the hospitality and the snorkeling!

We stayed at this fantastic resort a few days ago now.Amedeo and his staff are truly fantastic people, welcoming and always available.Clean rooms, fantastic cuisine and wonderful place. Super recommended.I can't wait to visit them again.Unfortunately I read some negative reviews, where I don't agree at all.I think some people have to look for another type of location since they don't understand the place they are in.Bunaken (and consequently the Raja Laut dive resort) is a natural place, where it is not possible to have all the comforts that one can look for in a city or in a heavily anthropized place.Bunaken is a natural paradise that must be preserved, and we must know how to coexist with nature, respecting it in all its forms. If you find rubbish on the beach it is certainly not the fault of Amedeo or the resort. It would be enough to have a little heart and initiative by collecting and throwing away what you find, thus contributing to the cleanliness of the beach.Super recommended place, especially for divers

The place is magnificent and suitable for snorkeling with a reef right in front of the resort where you can admire turtles and everything that underwater life has to offer us. The diving is also exceptional, all the spots we did were breathtaking. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The meals are delicious, varied and in good quantity. The staff takes great care. The atmosphere was super friendly. The owner Amedeo is very kind and is an excellent dive instructor, we did our PADI open water with him and we immediately had complete confidence in him.I recommend this resort without hesitation! 😍

A memorable experience at Raja Laut Dive Resort. What a welcome! The cuisine served there is varied, very tasteful and very hearty. For me, it is the best in Sulawesi. delicious homemade breakfastWe were in room 7, with a magnificent view of the sea and the sound of the waves to put us to sleep. Excellent services with a team that is always friendly and smiling (possibility of doing laundry for a fee).Last but not least, the owner Amedeo is a big heart and solves all problems. He can take care of organizing transfers from airports and with boats, he gives very good advice and is a lot of fun. He taught me to dive, he is an exceptional diving instructor, very educational and who builds confidence. His sensitivity to the marine world and the environment particularly touched me. Diving equipment in very good conditionI recommend!!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The bungalows were spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. From the basics like drinking water, soap, and mosquito spray to the luxurious touch of fluffy towels, every detail was considered. It was like sleeping in nature without compromising on comfort.Sunbeds in the beautiful garden offered the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning sea view before going snorkelling in the rich home reef (that is also a dive spot). The culinary experience was above expectations, with a varied and delicious menu.Last but not least, we also regularly enjoy the divine massages in the bungalow. The entire staff, led by Amadeo was exceptional. We want to extend a special thank you to Abraham for his kindness and to Edo and Idra for the dives. The dive sites around Bunaken were breathtaking, offering an abundance of marine life both large and small.PS: the private transfer by boat and car from Manado was flawless.
