We spent 2 days with the Nomad Divers on Bangka and really enjoyed the days! The two managers are super nice and create a family atmosphere that we have never experienced before. The two dives were very well organized and our wishes were taken into account. In addition, the vegan food was very, very tasty and varied. Overall a great experience and we would highly recommend it.

James and Kate are great hosts and looked after us wonderfully :)It's a very familiar atmosphere and we felt comfortable right from the start.Diving and snorkeling is beautiful from the boat and also great right in front of the resort at high tide.

It's difficult to contain in one review all the wonderful vibes we felt at Nomad Divers in 72 hours. I start from the structure. Don't expect glamping with every type of Western comfort, the bungalows are very beautiful and immersed in the jungle and the bathrooms are outside. There is no air conditioning and an external bathroom, so you may come across insects and other small animals. At 10pm the generator is disconnected and we find ourselves in the darkness and with the nocturnal noises of the jungle, a wonderful experience.On the beach there is a large wooden gazebo where you can have meals, relax on the sofa, hammock and straw sofas facing the sea immersed in the mangroves. There is another beach a few minutes walk from the property where you can relax and snorkel in a wonderful coral reef just a few meters from the shoreline.THE food is EXCEPTIONAL, the chefs come for every meal from the nearby village of Lihunu and prepare truly exceptional dishes, the best I tasted in 2 weeks in Indonesia. Super vegan & Vegetarian friendly.Regarding the STAFF, James is the best host I have ever had. He told us about all his life experiences, he told us about the island's fauna, he told us about the history of Bangka and part of Indonesia. With his enthusiasm and support some of us even managed to have a small diving experience in one of the richest coral reefs in the world. Finally, I want to mention the 2 dogs Bug and Mickey, who entertained us and accompanied us practically in every little tripe that We've done.We will miss everything, thank you thank you and thank you again.

We spent a week at Nomad Divers Bangka and enjoyed every second! The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, the nature was beautiful and the snorkeling tours were great. What beautiful coral and underwater life...We would like to thank Kate and James very much for the wonderful time we had. We felt very much at home!

We had a wonderful stay in Bangka. The staff was super friendly and we really enjoyed the wildlife in and around the resort. If you are lucky you can spot tarsiers, snakes, birds and of course the underwater life! Thank you Kate, James and the rest of the staff!

We had 3 nights at Nomad Divers. We only went snorkeling, but it was still a very nice stay. James was very attentive and friendly. Due to the strong ebb and flow there was no nice beach to relax on. But the resort has nice seating areas. The food was fantastic! Compared to other accommodation in Sulawesi, it is a bit expensive. But the diving experience should be unique.

We started our family stay at Nomad and we didn’t regret it. Kate and James welcomed us very warmly. James immediately understood that our 12-year-old son was very interested in local wildlife and on the first evening he took him to look for snakes and coconut crabs using a flashlight. Our son was in heaven. We did not dive but only snorkeled. The reef just ahead is very beautiful and very lively. The other one we went to by boat was magical. These are the most beautiful backdrops we have seen in Sulawesi. (More than the Togians). James is passionate and shares it well.We really enjoyed the bungalow on the beach and the calm. Very rejuvenating. Canoe trip, walk to the village. We stayed for 5 days and really enjoyed our stay. James and Kate take great care and do everything to make you feel at home. The food is good and they accommodated our son's dietary restrictions. A big thank-you. 🙏 a hug for Bug and Mickey (our canine guardian).

Magical experience at Nomad: exquisite food, attention to the environment, diving in beautiful places with James, Kate and the very nice crew and very attentive to safety and sharing their experiences and knowledge. All the staff were always very transparent in their information and very helpful and precise in helping us organize travel. The structure is very intimate and immersed in the jungle with a common area where you can relax and share with other guests. The kayak outing and the visit to the village were very beautiful. Great Nomad!!

James and Kate were fantastic hosts and teachers.The organization of everything was excellent: they took care of our transport from Manado airport to the magnificent private beach of Nomad Divers. Always punctual with timetables for both transport and daily appointments. The bungalow was basic but very clean, immersed in the jungle and it was wonderful to sleep with all the noises of the animals and vegetation. Excellent cooks alternated in the kitchen, offering different and excellent dishes every day.We took the Open Water certification with James as instructor and Kate as Dive Master: it was a unique experience. Great competence, enthusiasm and we always felt safe. At each dive James explained to us what fish we had encountered, demonstrating his great passion for the sea. It's a shame to leave

So many great things to say about nomad divers!! Starting with the room, it was comfortable and clean, lovely half outdoor bathroom, you could keep the windows open and listen to the forest all night. The guys managing the place were so friendly and welcoming, always down for a chat and to hang out in the common area, and ready to help with anything. And the diving. The dive sites are pristine, the diversity of fish and coral was unbelievable. I saw at least one thing I've never seen before on every single dive (boxer crabs, flathead crocodilefish and even dolphins on one surface interval!) and they have two adorable dogs to keep you company (mickey and bugs you were the highlight of this trip 💗). Three days was really too short and I'll be back soon for sure!!

It was a great experience to stay and dive with the Nomad Divers team at Banka island. James and Kate - the mangers and hosts provided a lovely balance of friendliness and professionalism. Diving team was caring and helpful. The accommodation was as rustic as promised but it proven not to be a problem since everything was well planned and well delivered. Food was wholesome and delicious. Overall it its just a beautiful place with beautiful people , tasty food - exudes peace and beauty. Happy to reckoned to anyone that appreciates great diving and blissful atmosphere.

A true little paradise! Even the journey by ship is fantastic. You ask yourself: where is a hotel here? The Nomad Divers is so beautifully hidden.The rooms are large and very clean. The food was great and prepared with so much love. And the homemade sambal... without words.James and Kate and the whole team do an excellent job with the sole aim of making every guest's stay as successful and enjoyable as possible. From the accompanied walk into the village to the early morning house reef dive, every wish was fulfilled.I felt completely comfortable and can recommend Nomad Divers to everyone.

What a paradise place!!We loved every bit of it and would highly recommend Nomad Divers to everyone. James & Kate are warm, open personalities who have the right answer for every question. They are very helpful and know a lot about the place and the island. The entire team is friendly, helpful and always open to a conversation. The food was phenomenal and there was always a delicious vegetarian option available for us. Everything is clean and nice. The diving crew was very helpful, we felt very comfortable. We always all eat together or sit in the corner of the sofa, play games or read something. We enjoyed every moment. Good Wifi! Electricity from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. which is totally sufficient. James even had a battery for my diving watch on site. THANKS !PS: we can highly recommend a walk into the village or the neighboring resort. :)

My partner and I spent 8 nights at Nomad Divers and enjoyed every second so much that I even shed a few tears on the way back.The resort itself is located in the middle of untouched nature and is very simple without a lot of frills, making it a great place to really switch off and unwind. The rooms and the common dining and lounge area are very clean and inviting.Diving is really an absolute highlight. You receive great care all around and feel safe and comfortable at all times. The guides know the diving spots like the back of their hand and the corals look like they come out of a picture book. I did my OWD there with James and Kate. Because it was such a great experience, I and my partner followed it up with the Advanced Open Water and there couldn't have been a better place for it. THANK YOU again for this great experience, which I will remember fondly for the rest of my life.But what makes Nomad Divers so special are the people there. The staff are all very warm and you feel comfortable and welcome at all times, whether in the resort itself or on the boat. A particularly big thank you again to Kate and James at this point. Weeks before our arrival, both of them really looked after us since there were a few problems with my certification as an indoor diver. They spared no effort to help us, ultimately successful! :) We were able to experience this effort and warmth throughout our entire stay. They both really do a great job and are the reason why we haven't visited Nomad Divers for the last time :)

We spent an awesome four days here. Kate and James are great hosts. Otny was a chill, knowledgeable guide. It’s a great place to hang and decompress. The family style meals and general vibe are unique to the other more corporate experiences in the area. We enjoyed of course the varied, amazing diving but also visiting Otny’s village and playing games at night with Mia and Phillip, the other guests while we were here. Highly recommended.

Very nice stay in Bangka island!The place is amazing:- nice and clean bungalows- confortable place to chill- wild animals (we saw wild tarsier behind our bungalow 😍)- delicious and various food everyday with homemade cake every afternoon- beautiful dives- friendly staff (2 membres of the staff came with us to show us the village, very good moment with children and local people!)- off the beaten track!Thank you James and Kate for your kindness, it was a pleasure to share these days with you!I hope we will come back ❤️🐠🏝️
